"Stiff wires didn't fit/feel great" 12/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds
  • Pros:  Fair Quality, Multiple earbud sizes, Solid build
  • Cons:  Metal buds get cold , Wires somewhat stiff - pulled out of ear,

Experience:   Yes these are more solidly built than the 50/50 or smokin buds, but something about the more sturdy wires made them more stiff and didn't give/flex well when in my ear. This resulted in the buds coming out of my ear b/c of the wire. Yes I did change the buds to better fit my ears. It is something that only happened with these since I have had a couple of the smokin buds and 50/50's. One obvious point, but something you might not think of is that they are made of metal, so if they are not covered under a beanie, or left our while on lunch break, the metal will get cold due to the surrounding temps. An additional minor thing to think about. This is built sturdy, and it can take a good beating.

"Solid " 4/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds
  • Pros:  Durable, Good Sound Quality,

Experience:   A lot of people have complained about these buds as far as quality goes but I have had mine over two years and have literally put them through the washer machine. They have been really solid for me. Definitely recommend.

"Average, but not really worth the price" 3/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds
  • Pros:  Bass Heavy, Noise cancellation, Life time warranty
  • Cons:  Not durable, Ear buds keep falling off,

Experience:   The Skullcandy FMJ headphones are decent but I personally would not buy them again unless they are on sale. I believe they are over priced mainly due to the skullcandy brand. The headphones will come will 3 different ear bud sizing (s,m,l) but they keep falling off. Another great benefit will Skullcandy is that they provide warranty. A reason why I wouldn't get these headphones again is because it only lasted me less than a year and that you can probably get something better for less.

"skullcandy quality as expected" 1/14/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds
  • Pros:  fashionable, name brand, sound isolation
  • Cons:  microphonics, poor build quality,

Experience:   in regards to microphonics it refers to how sound is transmitted through the cord and into the ear piece (so you'll hear every movement you make). in my experience, of the 4 skull candy earphones i've bought/dried, they're guilty of a lot of it. this one in particular is rather annoying sound isolation is relatively remarkable but MOST in-ear earphones tend to do that. for the price, i would not recommend these. you're better off getting sennheiser IE series earphones. i've heard they had kevlar but i'm not sure how that works out for durability. also, microphonics are less apparent.

i've seriously never owned a pair of headphones that sucked as much as these. mine worked for 3weeks before the sound on one of them started to fade. also, the fit was really uncomfortable. i'm rocking a pair of sennheiser cx400 now.
