"Useful, ok sound" 10/31/2012
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Built-in microphone, Rope style cord
  • Cons:  Mediocre sound quality, Very weak bass,

Experience:   I use these headphones when I plan on having a chill ride day and don't need a helmet for the park. Fits well over a beanie under your goggle strap. The soft padded speakers are quite comfortable even after prolonged use but you definitely need the goggle strap to secure them in place while riding, otherwise they slip off quite easily with physical activity. Hook it up to your phone and you can easily answer phone calls while on the hill as well, a little difficult with thicker gloves but doable. I really appreciate the rope style cord. Really helps resist tangles and more durable than your regular rubber cord. Of course with such cheap and relatively small cups, you're not going to get much bass punch with these at all. The high end isn't bad, can get a bit ringy at times but that probably depends more on the audio quality of your song file. I recommend these to anyone who wants to listen to music while riding on the hill without having to deal with the discomfort of small ear buds but don't expect jaw dropping audio quality.

"awesome headphones " 10/19/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  great sound,

Experience:   I love the headphones because they look awesome and the sound is really good. I dont usually like to listen to music when i ride because i want to talk with my friends, if you like that then get them because they dont block the sounds from the outside world. all in all they are great for riding.

Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  color, cheap, style
  • Cons:  breaks easily, dont good for riding,

Experience:   Its average because its somewhat cheap and it can be broken easily. I dont recommend it while riding because it falls off while i ride. The audio is all right and its cheap.

"great headphones" 1/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  lightweight, good sound, great looking
  • Cons:  bad fit,

Experience:   I love these headphones. They are very VERY lightweight, when i go snowboarding i forget they are on my head(besides the fact that music is playing). I use these for snowboarding, school, casual wear, and even skateboarding. The only thing about these great headphones is that without a beanie underneath, the fitting is a bit off but then again, it might just be me. i love these headphones. if you are reading this and contemplating getting these, get them.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  Good Sound, Looks Tight,
  • Cons:  Lacks Bass,

Experience:   Bought these headphones to go with some goggles I bought. Overall, I really like them. They are plenty loud, and have been really durable so far. My only complaint is that they lack bass in the headphones. Otherwise, these are a great buy!!

"Good enough" 9/6/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  looks good, slim design,
  • Cons:  sound isn't that great,

Experience:   I got this headphone as a combo package with my goggles. It sounds ok. Bass is decent it doesn't really go that low but it is loud enough. The Mids and Highs aren't that great either, but it was free so I can't complain. It looks pretty cool so it adds style points first the sound is ok but when you are riding it's good enough.

"great headphones" 4/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  stylish, quality, comfortable
  • Cons:  could be more secure,

Experience:   These headphones have quality sound and they look good too. the only problem i have with them is they could be a bit tighter on my head. If im riding with them they wont stay on that well unless im wearing over a beanie. For use outside of snowboarding they are perfect, i especially like them just because they sit on your ears i hate headphones you need to put in your ears. These have never made my ears sore even after using them for extended periods of time

"comfortable, adjustable and sound just fine" 2/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  confortable for snowboarders!, relatively inexpensive, sound fine for 30mm drivers
  • Cons:  don't have sound or construction quality of pricie, r versions, but what do you expect from a simple p, air of sport headphones

Experience:   I got a free pair of icons a few years back with a Sierra purchase (white plastic, blue/gold switchable plates, white synthetic leather cushions) and have been wearing them snowboarding at the resorts since that time. Generally put them outside the hat, under the goggles (a-frames usually). When I want it loud I push them back over the ears, if not I slide them forward. Great system to work that way. Have used them with several different mp3 players and all generally provide good but not great sound quality. actually it's surprisingly good when I slide them back directly over the years. Since they were free, and are never expensive, I have really beat them up but they still work. They are comfortable with the leather cushion (and easy to slide over fabric) and the tilted ear pieces also fit just right. They are not too big. NOt really sure how they look but I also do not care about that. Overall a good headphone and I wouldn't hesitate to snag another pair of these when these finally get lost or break. -b

"Icon Headphones" 2/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Icon Headphones
  • Pros:  Loud, Stay on while riding,
  • Cons:  low bass, easily broken,

Experience:   I borrowed these from my roommate last time out and they did the job. they are loud if that's what you like but there was hardly any bass with them. i didn't run into this problem but they seem pretty fragile if you dropped them or ate it bad. they are pretty cheap though so it wouldn't take much to replace them.
