"Good for the short run" 11/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  Cheap, A couple of cool different colors,
  • Cons:  Fall apart pretty quick, Marginal Sound,

Experience:   You're getting what you pay for with these earphones. They work for lightweight use and have a bit of style about them... but if you're hard on them at all, the rubber shell will start to disintegrate and the cord soon after. Don't expect thumping bass from these earphones either, but you can probably guess that from the price.

"Smokin' Buds - Green" 7/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  great color, awesome sound, durable
  • Cons:  fall out of ears,

Experience:   The Skullcandy Smokin Buds are my favorite earbud i've ever owned. They last a long time and they're extremely durable. I bought them just to cruise with but they fall out of my ears all the time. I also ride BMX and they fall out when I hit a jump. The sound is incredible but it's a pain to keep putting them back in. Overall--it's a great product if you just chillin in the car or on the couch.

Comments & Questions

Sandvich
I know this sounds stupid and maybe you already do, but I've noticed if you put them in with the logo facing backwards they will work themselves out. If I make sure the logos on the ear buds always face forward, they stick in pretty well. Still tend to slip after an hour or so, so maybe that's what you're talking about. Wiping out wax/sweat/snow helps keep the rubber sticky, too. Just my experience!

"Alright..." 2/5/2012

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  Good Sound, Interchangeable Sizes, Sick Colors
  • Cons:  Dont stay in well, Connection is starting to break,

Experience:   These headphones are good as far as sounds quality. I use them for boarding and they are good as long as you have a hat or helmet with ear padding over them (so they stay in). I've had them for a while now and the connection breaks up every once in a while. I have to twist the cord part and it regain its quality.

"average earbuds, they do the trick" 2/5/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  awesome design, good cord length,
  • Cons:  fall out of ear easily,

Experience:   I bought these about 4 months ago, and i was very happy with them. The sound is very good and the design is great. However, the problem is that they fall out of your ear very easily, which is very annoying during sports or when you are busy. I have tried some different rubbers, but that didn't do the trick. So if you are looking for earbuds to use on the slope or while jogging, you should not buy these. But if you want to use them to relax, they are a very good choice.

"Good until they break" 1/21/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  Good sound, Nice bass , Look good
  • Cons:  They break,

Experience:   I've had two of these headphones in the last year and they both have broken. They each lasted 3 months until my first pair started crackling and don't ever stop. Then on my 2nd pair the left earbud stopped working. On the bright side they had great bass and treble while they worked and they were evenly distributed although much of that depends on your iPod eq. I really liked them but have now learned my lesson and no longer buy skull candys.

"Decent headphones" 12/6/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  sound good for small buds, look sharp, if you handle them well they last long
  • Cons:  fall out of ears,

Experience:   These are pretty decent headphones. all around they have a good sounds to them with good base. Buds arent really the best for snowboarding because they have a tendency to fall out of your ears. definitely good for just listening to music on the way up to the mountain though

"For the Price 5; compared to Bose 1" 12/5/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  Cheap, Cloth material cord, Mic works well with Android
  • Cons:  Only one control button, Can't hear ambient sound if both ears in,

Experience:   For the dirt cheap price of these, you can't really complain. You will get some good use out of these and not feel bad when it's time to replace them. The sound quality is good enough to jam to while boarding. Obviously if you wanted to risk $300 Beats by Dre on the hill, you wouldn't be using these. The new material covered cord is more sturdy and doesn't get tangled up. The optional sizes for the ear bud fits all ears. There is only one button on the mic, so you can't move tracks up and down, but you can pick up, hang up, play and pause.

"these are .. ok" 11/18/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2011 Skullcandy Smokin Buds Ear Buds
  • Pros:  good sound, rivals beats , better colors
  • Cons:  horrible construction, cheap materials,

Experience:   These are actually pretty good headphones because of their rich sound and bass. I use them as my primary headphones because for the price these are great in the sound category. On the other hand the construction is horrible and they break extremely easily. the included earbuds are not made with the best rubber so they also tend to rip apart often. But on the bright side the manufacturer offers free lifetime warranty so i guess that balances everything out
