Qualities: Good warranty program
Likes: Warm and comfortable.
Qualities: Innovative, Quality gear, I'd reccomment to a friend
Experience: I own Smartwool product
Likes: I have several pairs of Smartwool socks and a neck gaiter. Smartwool products keep you warm without the funky smell that goes with some non-merino wool socks have.
Dislikes: A little more expensive than other socks but you're paying for quality.
Qualities: Quality gear, Good warranty program, Good selection
Experience: I own Smartwool product
Likes: Wonderfully comfortable socks. I have been using these for a number of years. they are very snug and warm in addition to keeping your feel dry and not soaking with sweat. I have used these for hunting, camping, army use, and winter wear. I love how durable and resistant they are as well. they keep blisters away too.
Dislikes: None, they are worth the money.
Qualities: Quality gear, I'd reccomment to a friend, Popular on the mountain, Good selection, Fashionable

Likes: Amazing socks. I only use smartwool. They're extremely warm merino wool, come in different thicknesses, and have impact padding in certain areas. They make them for almost any sport, not just snowboarding. I have a pair for hiking I use in the fall that keep my feet warm but doesn't trap in sweat. Couldn't ask for more.
Dislikes: They are a little bit on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion. (Also, don't put the merino wool ones in the dryer - they WILL shrink)

Likes: Once I bought a pair of Smartwool socks and used them on the mountain, I immediately went back to the shop and bought a few more pair. It's the only sock I use when riding now, great warmth and moisture wicking ability in a lightweight sock. They also have a lifetime warranty which is great.

Likes: pretty much like any other wool sock so there's not TOO much of a difference between one or another. mine have held up for the last 5 years w/o holes and still keep my feet nice and dry-like...unless the sock gets wet, then it's just warm and wet (better than the days i used to use cotton at least...actually, A LOT BETTER)
Dislikes: expensive when compared to synthetics
Qualities: Innovative, Quality gear, I'd reccomment to a friend, Popular on the mountain, Good selection

Likes: wool = warm when wet.
heck, i even use these for winter hiking! (in non-insulated hiking boots...haven't tried them in insulated but i think it might get too warm...)
Dislikes: expensive...also, they don't dry fast

Experience: I own Smartwool product, I am an expert
Likes: Not sure whether this is popular on the mountain because I don't know what people are generally throwing down for baselayers . . . however, I have several pieces and I think it's important for people to take a step back and think about what a merino wool baselayer can do as opposed to synthetics. It doesn't stink, it doesn't get cold when it's wet, and it is much more comfortable IMHO. (And it doesn't itch, if that's what you've heard).
Dislikes: The ONLY think I dislike about merino wool over syntehtics is the price, and it's generally not that far apart.
