"Great Goggles!!!" 5/30/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith IO Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  Light in weight , Easy to change lens, Wide View
  • Cons:  Expensive , Don't like helmet compatibility ,

Experience:   I bought these goggles upgrading from the Smith Prodigy. Compared to the last pair these are so much better in every way. These are light as and pretty durable in my opinion. Has the normal Smith head-strap and there is close to no frame which is pretty much made of rubber. Lens changing is easy as pie ( although i haven't used any other goggles with interchangeable lenses), all you have to do is rotate to leavers and pop the lens in and out. It has a very wide view with its Spherical lens compared to a lot of goggles i have tried out at the shops and it fits my nose structure perfectly (long, medium wide nose) Only things I don't like however is the helmet compatibility, with the Smith straps the clips on it clash with the goggle strap holder on the helmet. It's obviously a bit more expensive, being a higher grade product but I was willing to pay for these.

"gets the fog real hard" 1/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith IO Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  good vision, no frame, easy to swap lenses
  • Cons:  fog up real bad ,

Experience:   these are good goggles they have great peripheral vision. they look pretty cool too but they fog up if any of the foam is wet. also they sag down pretty far right when you put them on. which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

"Best Goggles Owned to Date" 1/4/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Smith IO Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  Unrestricted Field of View, 2 Lenses, Goggle/Helmet Interface

Experience:   To date, I have owned: Smith I/O, Oakley Crowbar, Oakley Wisdom, Oakley A-Frame and the Smith I/O are the best so far. These goggles look awesome, and fit (me) very well. The I/O offer a huge field of view and I never notice the frame blocking anything. The goggles come with 2 lenses - 1 for flat light, and 1 for bright days which is a huge bonus, and changing lenses is quick and super easy. I bought a Smith Vantage helmet at the same time, and the goggle to helmet interface is excellent with Smith helmets, keeping the goggles well vented. Of the goggles I have owned, I have had the least trouble with these fogging.

"IO Goggs" 12/26/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith IO Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  Super Durable, Comfortable / FITS PERFECT!, Swapping Lenses is a breeze!
  • Cons:  Absolutely None!,

Experience:   Besides the amazing style and look, the best part of these goggles is the ease and ability to change out the lenses. Living near the mountains now, the weather constantly changes. There's nothing better than being able to change your lens in less than 10 seconds before you head up, then carry an extra lens with you in case the weather changes. They also have a money fit. I definitely recommend these... definitely worth the money,.. some of the highest quality of goggles around!

"Quality Follow Up" 11/30/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith IO Snowboard Goggles - Men's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, High End Clarity, Fit

Experience:   Took these out on opening day and rode in them for a number of hours in variable light conditions. Fantastic goggle. No fog at all and clarity was amazing with ignitor lenses. Superior comfort...could barely tell they were on. Totally recommend them. Seen some negative reviews on the interweb...completely wrong - great goggle.
