"Love this!" 3/7/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Super Comfortable, Light, Good Price
  • Cons:  None at all!,

Experience:   This is honestly my favorite helmet so far, I have had many good helmets, but this by far beats them all. This has lots of padding on the inside which make it feel as though it isn't even on you. I had a R.E.D helmet previously and my main problem is that the goggles always fly off. With this helmet, they will never come off! It is difficult just to get them off. You do not have to worry about your goggles at all. The ear pads are great, the zipper is useful for putting your earphones or headphones in. It keeps your head warm. Overall, amazing!

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Light, noggin blocker ,
  • Cons:  Big,

Experience:   If you dont mind your head looking like a low profile bowling ball then this is by far the best helmet on the market in my opinion. Air vents work nice and it comes in a variety of steezy colors.

"Great helmet" 3/17/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Light & strong, Good breathability , Cost
  • Cons:  Needs more padding around the ears,

Experience:   I bought this helmet at the start of my 2012/2013 season, used it every day for over two months and could not fault. Had a couple bad stacks on icy trails where I hit my head but this helmet has really saved me from some serious damage. I have also put my earphones into the zipper that is located at the back so I can listen to music, there is nothing bad about this helmet besides for the fact that it could provide a bit more ear protection/warmth. For it's price I don't think you could find a better helmet.

"Light Weight" 1/12/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  So light, Clean lines, Low profile
  • Cons:  Vents don't adjust, Not a multi-impact helemet,

Experience:   I have had a few helmets (from Bell and Red). This is hands down my favorite. helmet so far, I have had many good helmets, but this by far beats them all. It is extremely light weight. You won't notice you are wearing it. The low profile makes it look good. Instead of some big balloon helmet. Ear warmers detach but can be a pain to clip back in. They helment works well with my Oakley o frames. Only down side is that vents don't adjust and it seems so light weight that I can't see this helmet taking multiple hard shots. Helmets save lives!

"Nice Low Profile" 4/25/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Light , Low Profile, Google Strap Holder

Experience:   I was looking for a certified low profile helmet. I wear an XL, so I don't need the bobble head look. This one turned out to be low profile. The outside material is super thin and bonded to the foam, which helps make the helmet thinner. It has removable ear warmers, a nice goggle strap holder, and vents to that direct to the top of your goggles. The fit is good with my Anon Realm goggles. Go out and buy one. You won't be disappointed.

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Does the job, Saves your life, good fit
  • Cons:  None,

Experience:   This helmet has saved my life on some head falls, and have seen it be split in half and save a guys life in NZ, was the nastiest crash on a rail i have ever seen. He was concussed and stretchered away but survived because of the helmet and no other reason...

"Super Light" 12/8/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Lightest helmet on the market, Low profile , In-mold construction

Experience:   I decided that I should get a helmet this season and protect my noggin. I've always been on the fence about helmets because too me I've seen a lot of helmets that look really big like bobble head big and its given me the impression that they must be uncomfortable and heavy. After some serious research and a lot of trying on helmets I came across the Maze and let me tell you not only is it light its comfortable and has a nice low profile on your head. After a little adjusting this helmet fits like a glove and its so light I can barely feel it on my head. I'm not sure how I feel about the venting. You basically have to fold the helmet liner flaps that cover the vents in half and tuck it under the liner. It just seems a little weird but its really not a big deal. The other thing was when I put my Skullcandy audio speakers in the ear pads the little grommet where the cord plugs into just popped off like nothing. Ultimately I'm pretty crafty and I'll fix it but it did piss me off that it came off so easily. Especially sine I had the helmet for like 2 days. Overall I love this helmet and I think its a great value, I would definitely recommend this helmet.

"Very Light" 11/23/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Maze Snowboard Helmet
  • Pros:  Very Light, Vented, Warm no need for a beanie
  • Cons:  The ear warmers unsnap to easy,

Experience:   I was very hesitant to ride with a helmet. I finally broke down and bought this one. Its very light and warm almost to warm. It was great, so light and not in the way like i imagined it would be. I recommend this helmet and add the Skullcandy built in ear buds (optional).
