"Super comfortable" 3/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  Lots of Vents, Lightweight, Comfortable

Experience:   This helmet rocks. I have the brown one and to be honest it is the most comfortable helmet i have ever worn. Red helmets have nothing on this. It has a fantastic clip to hold down your goggles and a removable head liner that you can wash. My ears are kept super warm and I can still hear noises. Best part is you got all these lil tech upgrades you can get. I have the blue tooth connectivity and it works really well with my phone.

"design of the adjuster damaged my jacket" 12/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  lightweight, fits well,
  • Cons:  design of the adjuster damaged my jacket,

Experience:   Although it is lightweight and fits well, the design of the adjuster damaged my jacket. Although the adjusters do not appear to be sharp, your natural head movements make their design dig into the top of any jacket with a high neck and gradually thread them. Once used, you will not be able to obtain a refund and Smith deny that anyone else has had a problem. Be warned!

"Variant" 4/24/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  Awesome looks!, Comfortable,

Experience:   The smith variant is ideal for protecting your head. It has a slide that you can adjust to increase ventilation in your head. The inside material is removable so you can wash it. It's a really perfect fit for me. I purchased a medium online, and i was incredibly worried that i would have to return it. It is very true to size in terms of the sizing chart. don't be afraid to fall on your head anymore!

"only the best for my dome!" 4/15/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  comfortable neck/chin straps, adjustable ventilation ,

Experience:   so i have a large head. i barely fit into flexfit l/xl hats. the xl version of this helm was perfect for me. it's comfortable with plenty of adjustments to get the right fit. the clip on the back is great for securing my goggles. the only issue is that if you go for a 'brim' version of any helmet.. you'll find it hard to rest your goggles on them. the brim gets in the way so they don't stay on the front and tend to slip off. good thing that clip is there!

"I have the bluetooth audio version.." 11/13/2009
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Smith Variant Brim
  • Pros:  great sound quality, functionality, comfort
  • Cons:  seems a little flimsy,

Experience:   great helmet. a lot of comfort and for the bluetooth kit, i can't imagine any other helmet being better. you can hook up both your phone and ipod at the same time and has a mic built in somewhere. i even put my phone down 30 ft away and went into the bathroom with the door shut and still crystal clear. same on a mountain. i could hear just fine while riding around. i love this helmet and have been getting a lot of comments on how good it looks.
