"Sexy jacket!" 5/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:  Nice fit, cool looking, 15000mm,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Perfect fit!

Experience:   I bought this jacket last year at 70%. Im from spain so the sizes are a little different, but this has the same size than here. Im 186 cm and 82 kg, im atlethic, and it fits me almost perfectly, its cool and sexy looking, but if you are a bit fat or very strong be careful choosing size because it might be tight, i cant wear much more under this jacket. It has 15000mm waterproof, not 10000 at it says on the specs, so it keeps you dry and warn enough for me (where i ride its not usually very cold). Recommended!

"Seems great..." 12/4/2009
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:  features/design, pockets, price/rating
  • Cons:  size a little small,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too small
  • My Size:  XXL
  • Fits Like:  XL
  • Description:  It's just a little small, but I'm just a little big...

Experience:   I just got this jacket, seems to be awesome. A little small, but nothing to bad. Haven't had it out yet (I live in Kansas City - still warm here) but it seems to be well made. A 15/10K jacket for $70?!?! Couldn't pass it up!

"Awesome jacket, looks great, warm and dry" 9/2/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:  Looks great, Lots of Pockets, Warm and Dry
  • Cons:  Fits a little baggy, Bottom rides up due to elastic bottom,
  • Jacket Fit:  Too big
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  fits a LITTLE baggy

Experience:   I had purchased this jacket and had been using it throughout the season. It's been my goto jacket on a regular basis. If its cold outside, I simply put on a sweatshirt under and I'm good to go. On warm days, I would wear a t-shirt under and it doesn't get too warm. I'm athletically built, so I feel this fits a little baggy on me, but I guess its good that I can fit a sweatshirt under it. The neck size fits like a Med, waist fits like a Med, body fits like a Lg. Sleeves are a perfect length. Got it at a fantastic price on Sierra so I would definitely recommend this jacket!

"My All-Season Jacket" 5/8/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:  Sweater-type liner, Keeps you dry all day, Removable Fur Snorkel
  • Cons:  No insulation in the sleeves,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  Fit is true to size, but a little roomier than I had expected (But, I'm very thin).

Experience:   This is my all-season go-to jacket because it's comfortable in most SoCal conditions. Warmer weather doesn't seem to be a problem for this jacket with the pit-vents and lack of insulation in the sleeves; On cold days I wear a long sleeve thermal base layer to warm things up. It's very waterproof and I've even worn it out as a raincoat w/o getting wet. I highly recommend this jacket and recommend scooping it up while you still can!

"great for bad weather days" 5/5/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:  absolutely waterproof, design,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  just right, a bit loose

Experience:   Fit: I'm an M (5'10,185 lbs) and the fit was between right and a bit loose. The jacket is thick, so at first felt a bit unwieldy, but on the slopes it's great. Performance: Tested it a full week, with both good and bad weather. Great waterproofing, warm too, can get sweaty if it's a good day. The hood is really big, I took out the fur piece cause when you put the hood on you can't see a thing. Tons of little pockets. Could've used better neck protection. Overall i'm really pleased with it. Love the herringbone design and it's great for shitty weather days. I would give it 4 and a half stars.

"sweet jacket!" 12/6/2009

  • Name: Special Blend Centenial
  • Pros:   ,
  • Cons:   ,
  • Jacket Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  S
  • Fits Like:  S

Experience:   Some say the fit was too small, but its SB's revolver line of slimmer fitting gear as opposed to their freedom fit which is the traditional baggier/longer type. But at the same time its not even close to emo-style slim fitting. I wanted a jacket that I could wear off the mountain and this was perfect for it. The material isn't a nylon type, it looks and feels more like wool but is still rated at 15k. Sierra's spec's say 10k though, but the tags say otherwise. Good functionality across the board. Only gripe is that the nice toasty sweater insulation doesn't extend to the arms....it just stays in the body area. It basically insulates your body but only provides a shell for your arms. But I wore it in low 30s around town with just a t-shirt under and didn't feel cold. Also, the elastic band on the outside is a cotton elastic that seems like it will get wet and frozen if you fall a lot in the snow/ice.....so just don't fall a lot!
