"A great intention..." 12/23/2012

  • Name: Technine Mfm Pro Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Great features, Many functional adjustments, Tons of extras
  • Cons:  Heavy, Mismatched colors, Many Poorly designed critical components
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Technine Mfm Pro bindings are clearly were designed as top of the line product and have great features that I really was excited about, however execution and functionality rendered all that effort useless. The shades of gray mismatch on the binding frame pretty badly, was that by design? Not sure but it looks awful to me, along with super busy stitching everywhere and a strange combination of colors these bindings kinda looked like I just got them from value village. Adjusting bindings was a complete failure. Taking advantage of available holes to move my highback back a little it appeared that there is no room for it to fully extend. Some bolts were stuck and were made out very soft alloy that would not allow many of them to get moving w/o stripping them. I am sure manufacturer had put some thought into making these bindings comfortable, but until you can actually ride them, it is hard to appreciate the effort and for 260$ I would expect better quality control. On the good side the price I got them for was good, so if the weight of the bindings is not an issue and you are not planning on adjusting anything, I see how they can be a great buy.

  • Name: Technine Mfm Pro Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  nice footbed,
  • Cons:  buckles, buckles, buckles
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   bought these for a great deal. figured with the name they had to be good. i guessed wrong. i could not for the life of me get the buckles to stay tight. they kept coming loose after regular carves and also during presses. within one ride down the mountain i had lost the toe cap screw. i know everything was tight and i am very meticulous. the T screws are really cool and the binding looks to be a nice choice but the quality is missing. the toe cap itself doesn't sit right with K2 boots, (t1s and Darkos). dont even try to jump with them. the second i would land i would hear all the straps loosening up.

  • Name: Technine Mfm Pro Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  look great, comfortable,
  • Cons:  mine have had parts issues,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings look absolutely SICK! I used them all last season and they made for comfortable runs, I was completely satisfied with them. The only problem has been a couple of parts breaking, granted I put them through near 0 degree(F) weather causing part of the strap to break, thank goodness the place I was riding had a cheap replacement part. Later in the season I dinged up the piece to tighten the strap and have to deal with just pushing it in, they are still functional and work well, but I'm hoping to replace it before I go out this season.

  • Name: Technine Mfm Pro Snowboard Bindings
  • Pros:  Look like they'll take a beating, Pretty light,
  • Cons:  Straps slip too easy,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've only riden these 1 day and didn't have time to do much adjusting however they just wouldn't go tight enough. I generally probably over tighten my bindings and maybe I shouldn't but I think the slip is a little too bad. Apart from that they seem pretty good and would have given them at least a 4 if it wasn't for the slip.
