"Expected Better" 4/25/2012
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Lightweight, Affordable,
  • Cons:  Sole cushioning, Overall quality,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   I did about 10 days of riding in these boots this season. They are decent boots for the price but I'm not enthusiastic about them. I bought these because they are very lightweight, but it seems like they cut weight by using a thin sole - I could feel every little bump in the ground when walking in these boots. Good thing I have cushioned bindings. Sometimes the BOA laces get stuck and don't loosen when you pop the knob, so I have to apply a lot of pressure to unstick the laces when I take off the boots at the end of the day. I also just noticed that rubber sole is starting to peel apart from the boot at the toe, maybe caused by overtightening my toestrap but I expected these boots to hold up better after just half a season. I wouldn't buy these boots again.

Update: The problem with the sole coming apart from the boot at the toe continued to worsen. My boots were covered by Thirty Two's 1-year warranty against defects, so they replaced them with brand new boots for free (I had to pay for shipping my old boots to them). Dealing with customer service went smooth and I'm a happy customer now.

"Thirty Two STW BOA" 1/30/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  BOA Lacing system, Tight Fit, Affordable
  • Cons:  BOA button pops up if over tightened,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11.5
  • Boot Size:  11.5

Experience:   Only downside to these boots I've encountered was the BOA knob used to tighten the boots pops undone if over tightened (which is good in a way) except I was heading down the mountain and noticed hardly any response on my toe side cause boots were on easy loosen mode. These boots are very snug on foot, only time I had a pressure point was when wearing very slim ankle brace; goes to show how little room you have to play with in boots. These boots are cost friendly and also stylish on the mountain. I would recommend these STW's to any rider.

"So comfortable!" 12/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Soft, Easy lacing system, Heat moldable
  • Cons:  None so far,
  • Fit:  stiff
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10.5
  • Boot Size:  10.5

Experience:   I've ridden these twice on the mountain so far... no complaints yet! I've previously used the Burton Moto's and Saloman Factions, but these are by far the most comfortable and most responsive! Even during the break-in period... I barely had any discomfort at all. The lacing system is super fast... just a quick pull for the inner lining and then the BOA system for the outside. The boots also came with an extra lace, in case something happened to the other laces... but the BOA's come with a lifetime warranty as well, so no need to worry there. These are by far the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. These supposedly only get more comfortable after 2-3 rides as well due to the heat molding. My only complaint is that I do get a tiny bit of heel lift.. however with the moldability of the boot, the store where I bought it from said if I still have that issue after 3 days on the mountain I can come in and get them adjusted (they'll throw in more padding and what not and then heat mold at the shop.) The boots are so easy to put in, and super responsive on the mountain. No issues at all with them coming loose. Also, the big nob for the BOA system makes it easy to adjust without even having to take my gloves off.

"Mid-flex Super comfort/ lightweight" 12/2/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  No pressure points/ lightweight design, BOA system w/ replacement cable, heat moldable in the shop!
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  11
  • Boot Size:  10 1/2

Experience:   I purchased these yesterday after I returned my Salomon Factions (wasn't a fan of the amount of flex and they started to hurt my right ankle) and I am impressed with Thirty-twos designs. This boot has a small footprintwith a rubber sole (not like the better thirty twos which are foam), it's one of the more lightweight boots on the market in this price range, and it comes with an extra BOA lace in case anything breaks on the mountain. The nice thing about these and all Thirty-two boots is that when you go in to purchase them, if they fit a little too snug or you would prefer some more toe room, you can have the store head up the inside of the boots and have the molded to your feet. This allowed me to fit into a 10 1/2 no problem as opposed to my usual size 11. All in all so far, these are some super comfy, lightweight boots that are not a burden on your wallet! I will post more on riding them when I get the chance!

Experience:   These boots are the great. I always get BOA boots and out of all the ones i have had these are the best. they have the most cushion/comfort inside and when you go to tighten them its all very simple and they stay lock, they dont loosen up when riding or anything.

" Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots Men's" 12/7/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 32 Thirty Two STW BOA Snowboard Boots
  • Pros:  there are no tight spots when worn, just enough flex , light weight
  • Cons:  none,
  • Fit:  mid
  • Flex:  mid
  • Shoe Size:  10 1/2
  • Boot Size:  11

Experience:   Just got my pair in from trusnow, tried them on they were snug as a bug. They had a little toe room but not enough for my foot to move around, yet not tight enough that i would have to adjust my boots on the mountain. I was surprised at how light the pair actually was. I have a feeling that some more hardcore pros can probably come up with a better pair of boots for this price range, but for an amateur like me they are a great pair of boots that area decent price (and of course you have to love the BOA lacing system).
