Sierra Says: Really? Did you really think anyone could, let alone needed anything lighter then the Contact? Well Union did so they put their heads together and came out with the Flite. Still offering a strong, durable binding, they cut all the fat possible without compromising quality. Perfect for someone starting out that needs something forgiving and easy to manipulate or the season jibber who needs a tweakable binding for 270 on and offs and extreme presses.

"The Flite" 1/10/2011
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  perfect flex, nice toe/over the top toe strap, inexpensive
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I've ridden these binding for a week and they are more than i expected. I payed $130 for the bindings and they are super for the price. They provide the perfect flex for the park or just riding the mountain. Allows for great presses and slides o rails and boxes. also provide for great butters on the mountain. I couldn't believe the feedback and response from these bindings. I've been riding for about 6 years and I've never had a better binding. They are great! I ride the park, and they are perfect. The sleek and sophisticated look helps me out with the ladies and i get so many compliments on them when i'm taking lps in the park or riding the mountain with my friends. I would definately recommend these to any experienced or beginner rider. Thanks union for making a great binding!

"Union Flite" 3/5/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Style, Weight,
  • Cons:  Toe Straps,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   The only knock I had on these is the toe strap release. I ride normal and the right toe strap releases just fine, but for some reason I always have a hard time releasing my left toe strap. I have to take off my gloves most of the time to get it to release. This isn't that big of a deal because I usually only have to do this at the end of the day, but it's still annoying when you're tugging and tugging but the strap doesn't come off. Other wise, the style is pretty cool, it's really responsive, my boots fit perfectly, and extremely light. The highbacks, like all Union bindings, are flexible so you don't have to adjust them with the edge of your board either.

"Very durable" 8/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Very comfortable straps, Easy adjustment, Durable
  • Cons:  a little weight,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   One of the best binding's I have owned...I will definitely be sticking with Union because of their durability! I have smashed this binding on rails, trees, boxes, brick, cement, chairlift poles and have yet to see any damage to them, I can beat these bindings up without having to worry about breaking them. The response is also great, these are the bindings that gave me the confidence to throw inverted tricks in the park, and the reactions needed to throw 7's and 9's!

"Sick Park Binding" 7/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Super Light, Forgiving, Soft
  • Cons:  Not totally Responsive,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I demo'd these bindings for a few days and loved every minute of it. They reacted well when I spun onto boxes n rails. Overall a very soft binding. You can take these anywhere in the park and they can kill. They land real soft on jumps, and you barely have to prespin with these babies. SNAG

"Union Flite Black/Gold" 5/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Light, Metal Heelcup,
  • Cons:  Colors, Boot Fit,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   This is a very nice binding, and I was very impressed for the price it was. However, it did have some drawbacks. My size 12 Salomon boot is just a tad wide for the binding, so you have to be patient getting it in and out. Also, the color choices kind of suck. I wanted to get an all white or all black or all blue binding, these are kind of flashy, but they were the binding I wanted, so I compromised. One of the rivets on the front left buckle was made poorly and fell out, but Union sent out two replacements free of charge. But the good: Tons of adjustment, very light, they do not joke, metal heelcup, and decent response. They seem relatively stiff compared to what I have ridden before, which was totally fine. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase.

"Great, inexpensive binding." 2/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Inexpensive, Responsive
  • Cons:  Paint seems to chip fairly easily, Toe strap snagging things [see detail],
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings are a great compliment to a rockered board or a board with lightened tip and tail. They are super light and responsive making for a great spinning combo. They enable quick hops edge to edge, and really give you a feeling of control over every movement of your board. All in all this binding is great for freestyle, but is comfortable all over the mountain. It is everything I, and I think most people look for in a binding, and is inexpensive as well. The straps really hug your boots and feel tight and secure without feeling like they are crushing your feet. While it may have been a freak accident, the open design of the toestrap allowed to to catch on a skiers binding on the lift and cause us both to tumble off upon exiting.

"Awesome price point binding" 2/24/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  Seriously light, Flexible,
  • Cons:  Rachets froze, The straps aren't 3d,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   I rode my friends flites and I'm going to say for the price the bindings really impressed me. They're a more park/jib oriented binding and have a forgiving feeling to them. I would suggest these to anyone on a budget that want a great solid binding.

"Super light " 1/9/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Union Flite
  • Pros:  great quality for price, truly f.light , good ratchets ,
  • Cons:  soft but coms with the light ness ,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Union bindings are always impressive even these ones come with a lifetime baseplate warranty, the ratchets are solid and hold up great, now the high back is a little softer than the forces but not noticeably softer than the contacts. They are great for the park but feel a little soft when flying down the mountain their not as stable as the forces but still good for some one who is not looking for a super stiff binding.
