Unfortunately, despite rumors being spread last weekend, the Sierra Reverse Crew 160cm Wide and the Sierra Bluebirds have not arrived – they're still somewhere in the ocean Cry

As soon as we get any solid info on their arrival I'll post it in this thread to let you guys know.

Sorry about the delay – trust me it's irritating for us as well, most of us had opted not to buy a new powder board until the Bluebird came in so I was riding two foot + of fresh at Sugarbowl on Wednesday on a Crew Reverse Camber instead of a Bluebird – which actually was pretty epic, go up one size, set the bindings back as far as you can and there you have it, awesome powder board LOL

That's actually something I did not know, and makes me wish I'd jumped on a reverse Crew at Bruizzapalooza.  I've steered away from Burtons in recent years since they kill my legs in chopped up, cruddy snow.  It's been a dealbreaker for me.  A traditional Burton ride with a little more dampness is definitely something I'd be interested in.

Dammit I really want to get the reverse crew. The last board I purchased from Sierra was because my original board got stolen in my house.

Yes Xyian it's great. I rode the 158cm Stunt on the cat trip day so I tested it in proper backcountry steeps with a ton of pow and tree runs – it handled really well and I had a centred stance so knock the stance back an inch and you'd be money on that board.

I am interested to know if the Crew Vrock is considered "stiffer and Less rocker" than the Custom Vrock because it hasnt been through the "infinate ride" process which basically breaks in the board for you.

Makes sense to assume that the Crew will soften up and perhaps have a more pronounced rocker over time.

Take this for what its worth, I'm the same height and five pounds heavier and ride the 159.  However, most people think I ride boards that are too long for my size.  I prefer more stability and float since I ride in the NW and we frequently have 6-8 inches of fresh down every time I ride.

I can say that in Steamboat last weekend, I had no problems riding powder in the tree's all day, and on groomer days I have absolutely no problems dorking around doing whatever.  So its the right size for me.

All old memeber,

When I receive the email, I just click to sierra a.s.a.p....after checking...only 50% off for 2009 burton board. I just think, I am the only fool who think Sierra sale the Burton for 70% off again.
 
Tonight, I found here, I just can say, I am not the one and only one disappointed.
Anyway, I will wait and see Sierra's reply for this case.
 
BTW, I am happy to receive Sierra's E-mail give a speical chance to our old member before open to all. At least, it make me feel "I am a member of Sierra Group."

thats a tough call there. the stunt is damn versatile, especially for a board with a softer flex. We took this thing through powder, park, pipe (dougfagel).. and it was awesome everywhere. The stunt comes in more sizes than the sierrascope, but either would seriously be a dope board, i think you'd be very excited with either. heres cousin walter pressin the stunt.

Sizing down on reverse camber depends on the reverse camber.

I believe the reason they tell you to size down with certain profiles is because:

A.) You can ride powder with a shorter board size.
B.) Certain camber profiles (banana comes to mind) takes a ton of pressure off your contact points and puts "control between your feet."  So stability is less a function of your total edge, but of how wide your stance is.  I rode a 154 TRS BTX with a 24.5" stance that felt more stable (to me) than a 159 TRS BTX with a 23" stance.

I'm not familiar enough V-roc to know whether that holds true.  Personally I just size like normal, but sizing down might suit your preferences.

i rode the YES 156.5 and the Sierra Rocker this wknd. both are seriously awesome boards. Not sure how you like your boards to flex, but they're a ton of fun. I havent seen a YES for under retail price, (399), and their prices are going up for 2011 product as well. Weird. I assume the Burton stuff is vendor contract issue, but you'd have to confirm that with staff. Not sure what the deal is on the Indoor.

If you're asking about the Capita Sierrascope, the coupon is not good on that board. It's only good on the 3 new Sierra boards.  (Sierrascope is already on sale any way, though)

There is probably some fine print missing saying that Burton boards are exempt.  I believe Burton revised their retailer-manufacturer agreement to be a bit more strict on when you can boards and by how much.  They appear to have sold off all boards that were eligible for 70% off.

The Crew v-roc and the Stunt are incredible looking.  Philwiles killed it.

Heard a lot of positive things about the Crew V-Roc when people were riding it on Sunday.  I would have picked one up if I didn't have my eye on a Sierrascope 156.

it looks like the reverse crew is more of an all mountain rocker, while the stunt is more for jibbing...interesting....

would rather take the sierrascope over the stunt though.

looks like i'll just be waiting till sierra puts the crew/sierrascope on absolute clearance.

Rode the sierra reverse crew at steamboat today and at the end of the day had to ask donald (who knows all) about 3 more times if this board is really a reverse camber snowboard.

Personally not a fan of any of the boards, looks wise at least (and Burton wise).  If I had to pick I'd say the Reverse Crew is the best looking.  The bindings are rad as hell, tho.  And no "Sierra" branding on them?  Or am I just blind.  Either way they look pretty cool.  Nice simple, clean design.  And the color combo is right up my alley.  Kinda liking that toe strap idea.  Looks like it might have less of a tendency to slip up off the toes.  Are those an available Union strap or is that something coming in the 2011 line?

Sidenote, anybody else see the bottom of the "Stunt".  The A at the end of Sierra makes it look like Sierro.  Almost as cool as Fiero.

the Sierra Reverse Crew is made by Burton and built off the Burton Custom V-rocker. Some differences are that the Reverse Crew has a more blunted nose and tail, (which i love),  is not ICS, (in case you dont have EST bindings), and does not have burton's infinite ride technology, (you'll have to break it in yourself, enjoy!). I rode this board and it is a TON of fun. Initially rides a bit stiffer bc it doesnt have the infinite ride, but this board slays the mtn, no problemo.

the Sierra Stunt is made by Burton and based off the Burton Blunt. Soft flex, great float in powder, does park with ease. great flex on this thing.

the Sierra V-Spot is made by Burton and based off the Burton Social. Basically the womens version of the Sierra Stunt.

MUCH props to Phil, these graphics are SICK. You'll see a few pictures of em that we took from the wknd, and trust me, they dont the graphic justice. The detail on the Stunt is amazing, i'll add a few pics later on.
