It only took me a couple days. About the same as what you said. I was on the bunny hill for like an hour or so but then I was off for the rest of the day. dude it took me 2 years to get carving down but that was back in the day when no one else knew how to board and I was mostly doing it on my own.

i remember it took me like 2 years because i only went 1-2 time a year, 4-5 days in a row would definitely do it

i picked up riding forward and actually carving pretty quick.  i never really did the falling leaf thing.

of course it took me longer to go faster and actually have complete control, but i dont really remember struggling.  i guess that was 12 years ago though so maybe i dont remember well enough.

General question asking everyone how long it took them to pick up the basics their first time snowboarding, it took me 1 day to learn to leaf confidently down blue runs and then the second day i was able to s down blue runs confidently. By the 4th day of snowboarding i was able to s down most black runs without having to stop or slow down.
