I'm a BC boy though. There are many hidden treasures in BC. Revvy is good, Silver Star is great for park and intermediate riding. Big White is pretty descent, but gets fogged in quite a bit. I grew up at Red Mtn. on of my favs if you like cliff drops and back country into powder bowls. White water gets deep pow, and&nbsp; Fernie often get the most snow in BC.]]>

I also love the 4 - 8 foot drops that are everywhere, with no consequences when you stack it.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>The only problem with the place is that the roads leading to it close all the time because of avalanches, making it hard to get to some times.</DIV>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.trusnow.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=138114" rel="nofollow">getupk3v</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 43019<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> Feb/02/2011 at 6:43pm<br /><br />i was there for a week last year. even though they had a crappy year last year in terms of snow, there was still TONS of snow mid mountain up. it's great because the terrain weeds out the beginners, and there were only a handful of intermediates on the hill. the place is already huge and the sidecountry/backcountry is massive. also has some of the best tree runs in north america. no park but there are cliff drops everywhere inbounds and tons of natural halfpipes and fun little rollers and to natural stuff to jib on. <br /><br />only crappy thing about revelstoke is getting there. i took a bus from banff, the scenery is out of this world but the bus drops you off about 1.5 miles from town and taxis are hard to come by. the drive is great too but if you catch bad weather it'll turn into the scariest drive of your life. also the heli operation is ridiculous too. i met some of the guides in NZ they're awesome. all in all, probably one of the last real ski towns left with a huge mountain, no crowds, and no bs attitude.<br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2345.JPG" border="0" /><br />view from the top<br /><br />btw everything in the pics is considered inbounds. note the lack of other humans :)<br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2360.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2364.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2397.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2419.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2425.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><img src="uploads/138114/IMG_2414.JPG" border="0" /><br />that face on right is a two hour hike.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="http://www.trusnow.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=236597" rel="nofollow">richardvoyageur</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 43019<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> Jan/27/2011 at 12:08pm<br /><br />I did hear of this and it's exciting to see what they have planned for the future.&nbsp; It's going to be absolutely ridiculous.<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>Their vertical is already unbelievable at 5700' (bigger than Whistler's), but the reason we opted out of Revvie this year is because it's not friendly to anything under intermediate/expert.&nbsp; They have essentially one green run (granted it's 15.2 km long!) but I heard that's mostly cat track.&nbsp; The rest of the place is reputed to be very steep and difficult terrain.&nbsp; Unfortunately we had to bail on our plans and go somewhere else until some of our members skills are up to par.&nbsp; </DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>So I'm hoping they add some more diversity to the hill, I would love to get out there sometime as the snow is supposedly very good.</DIV>]]>

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is expected to be 10,000 acres when they're done. That'll make it the biggest resort in North America! That's insane. <br /><br />Anyone ever gone to experience the madness there? They got some heli-skiing there as well. Over ten metres of snow a year!<br />Reading this in the newspaper today. Everyone has got to go at least once.]]>
