The other day on the slopes. I was sitting next to a little girl who's probably 7 or 8? maybe even younger..She was hating on boarding haha said she like skiing better because it was easier. It was too hard to board.. balancing was hard. then she dashed off once we landed.

I started of as a skier as well but it is more fun to snowboard. It is always a good choice to have both. A lot of the people I know who has worked at resorts for more than a year or two, skis and snowboard. It is more common for snowboarder to do both (at a high level) in my experience. I have to agree with ejay.  However, I would keep in mind how bad it looks when beginners crash at skiing compared to boarding.  I guess I would rather have fun boarding than investing the time, money and pain that it would take to crossover.  But maybe I am just intimidated.
