I'm about 6' and 185. I ride mostly park, I would personally go with the 157 without question. 159 would be a good all terrain board, but you will want something smaller most likely if you are any bit of a park rat.  Just for info, I ride a 156 midwide and I love it, not great for powder days, but love it for everything else.

the 157 may be easier to progress on because it's lighter and shorter, making it more maneuverable. l was previously using 155, then use 153 now. I honestly dont notice much of a difference at all. my old Salomon was a 151 with 8/10 stiffness and my new Custom 154 is 6/10 stiffness and I can't much difference aside from stability. I really don't do lots of tricks except for small jumps and experimenting with various carving techniques.

Depending on how strong you are, but difference will be small.
You'll notice it more when jibbing and rotating. Extra length will add more rotational mass and board will be stiffer compare to a smaller board.
You'll get used to it but better off with a smaller board

The answer would lie in the differences in sidecut radii and nose/waist/tail widths. Do a side-by-side comparison of their specifications to differentiate. The trend is that longer lengths of the same model are more sluggish, but it isn't caused by the added length. You probably won't notice much of a difference. 180's/spins may feel more sluggish, but you may not even notice. I notice when I switch from my all-round board to my park board, but the difference between those boards is 7cm. Park deck feels lighter and easier to maneuver. 2cm?
