I've always wondered the same thing. I just thought that it was an error with my computer I had no idea I could change the settings. When you are in a thread scroll up and click on the gear labeled Control Panel (to the right of the Community tab).  This will open your Member Control Panel.

Click on Edit Profile

Scroll down to Forum Preferences

Select Yes for Enable the WYSIWYG post editor

Scroll up and click the Update Profile button

Is there a fix for this? For some reason when I click "quote" on a person, it always quotes the LAST person in the thread instead of the one I click. If it helps, I'm on a Macbook Pro using chrome.
