Hmm,

I think it may be legit the phone numbers in the email match but the fax doesn't, it says I can email the ID to kelli.halek@activesportsinc.com.

I'll have to look into it when I get home.

Thanks for your advice guys.

If it's from active then it's legit.  I guess it's a new safety protocol for international buyers.

It's always best to check with a staff member during business hours if you have any concerns about your order or the order process. I'm trying to think back to my first international order a long time ago and I think I had to do the same thing. However, to make sure, I called SS (was SS at the time) and spoke to a rep to confirm if it were necessary.

I had the same email sent to me today, jlaycock, I'm also ordering from Australia. Just wondering if you figured out what the deal was?

Yeah I just bought a pair of Rome S90's from here and got sent the same thing. It was the first order I've placed. Just took a pic of my drivers license and emailed it off to Kelli, got the confirmation email this morning saying my stuff had been shipped off!!!

Pretty legitimate I'd say haha

I was wondering if shipping costs were included in the member points program. I just got to the first tier where i earned a t shirt, and added another couple things to my cart. Since shipping MUST be paid when a giveaway item is purchased, my question is: if my order comes to like $28, and shipping brings the total to $35, do i get 6 points or 9 points?

EDIT: I asked Allie and she confirmed that points are awarded just off what you purchase (which in the above example would be 6 points), and shipping is NOT included.

Import duties will range by the value of the product. I'd hazard a guess that it's roughly 10% to 12% of the item value. Shipping will probably be over $60 if you ship it all as one package. Realistically, to avoid trying to save money by not really saving much at all, you should probably be getting your stuff locally in Canada, unless there is a very, very good deal from USA (such as last year's stuff).

Good to know.. I do not think this should be on the forum though. There should be a page for shipping information and FAQ. New users wont think about coming to the forum and it may drive them away if they get frustrated by not being able to find what they want.

2006...this was started in 2006.  It's no longer the same owner, location, or employees.

For future question relating to this, see the links below customer service at the bottom of the page.
