wow! good job man!

I lost 20lbs in 4 months by switching from regular to diet soda without doing any serious exercise before...

but now... with all the withdraw from quitting smoking (yes, that's an excuse), I gained it all back...

what type of diet are you doing?

I haven't really set up a regiment but i've been doing basic stuff, cutting down on carbs, smaller portions when eating, and the MTBing. Last weekend went to a wedding and went out to dinner, and you know what that usualy entails, tons of drinks and lots of food. And I'm still surprised how I lost 5 lbs. I'll keep you updated if you're interested.

I did just eat three pieces of salami. I think that was a mistake Confused

Personally, I do not think the low carb diet thing works if you usually eat a lot of carbs normally, because, you're used to eating a lot of rice/noodle/potatoes and once you start eating more carbs than during your diet period without enough exercise to burn it off, you get it all back. (That's how I re-gained 40 lbs after quitting smoking, because carbs was the only thing to let me feel that I was full enough.) If you can beat the feeling or urge to eat the carbs, then your diet should be good to go, but... remember, once you start eating you carbs again, you'd gain it all back again... Cry

hmmm... i hope this makes sense, because i'm writing this to sober up from drinking all night long at dave and busters.... i love my friends for letting me go to work with my shit face tomorrow.... Evil%20Smile
