I got a pair of this years F20's and they seem way stiffer than my last pair I bought in 04/05.  seems like they added more to the tongue stiffener this year.
Any advice (other than just riding them) on how to break these hoes in fast?  I've been wearing them around the house and office all the time and they still feel the same.  comfy no doubt, though.

Are you serious about that pool part? Confused
I'm here for the point, not the points.

Sick boots.  Unfortunately, I have heard reports that they don't break in too well... in that they are insanely durable.  A guy on another forum who was rocking 24 mentioned that after 100 days, they still hadn't broken down to the point he wanted/expected... so he went down to F22s this year.  Hopefully the F20s break down a bit quicker.

Can't fault Salomon for making great boots and durable gear.

It's weird, I feel like Salomon slightly stiffened the F-series and slightly softened the rest of the line.  That second part might just be my imagination, but the Synapses I tried on were not as stiff as I remembered.
ROLL ON, BISHES.

Cool, would you suggest the F20's or the F22's?

Depends on how stiff you like your boot.  Personally I'd go with the F22s, but if you know you like softer boots get the F20 (and, as said by ak, they're not THAT soft).

Like I said, it's all preference.  Some people love to kill it in the park with stiff boots.  Might want to look at the FDBs, they're kind of an inbetween the F20 and the F22.

man, there's nothing soft about these F20's. straight up stiff boot.  thinking of maybe trying some leather conditioner on them to break them down some more.  I love the way they fit.  plus they are low profile so they're not too bulky.

Salomon makes sick boots!  I wish the F-series fit me, but they're too damn narrow.  I think I'm going to nap some Synapse Wides!

Is the synapse a good boot?  What is the difference? Maybe a little less stiff?

Synapse is a little less stiff than than the F22.  The website rates the F22 as a 8, the Synapse as an 8.5... I disagree with that.  Pretty similar, but the F22 is a bit stiffer to me.  The F22 also has the integrated liner (so it is mad narrower, but lowers your foot profile) and has a MUCH better stock footbed (not an issue to me, as I have Superfeet).

Another cool thing about F-boots is that they are built close to the ground to get you closer to your board, if you dig that low center of gravity feeling.  Some folks do, some prefer to feel elevated.

Try them on and see.  They are designed to have a pretty similar flex.
