Ideas for wednesday the 18th

Number 2? Idk how you could really encorporate that one into the contest without referrals and that is a whollllle other type of thing

Ok so I had a thought. Why not, since this is the final week for the giveaway go all out with more small stuff(tshirts, gloves, posters, perhaps some signed stuff from the burton tour)

Draw like the lottery idea, but draw 16 users. Automatically you win at least something....put the 16 users in a tournament setup and draw between the two names in each group(say every 30 minutes or something) so each user has a 50/50 chance of advancing to a better prize....

So there would be

8 'you were drawn prizes'
4 'honorable mention prizes'
3 'runner up prizes'
1 'Win the Twin'

so 16 prizes, 16 winners, 16 Days until resorts start to open(Arapahoe Basin opens today!(10/13), why not :)

After the 16 names have been drawn you would break those 16 up into 8 pairs...This would put you in a bracket with someone else, at that point you have a 50/50 chance of going on to a better prize. After some time duration they could draw again from the next bracket. Leave 4 people with 'honorable mention prizes' and 4 moving into the runner up bracket. After another time duration(30 mins / 1 hr. whatever) the drawing for the runners up. Only 2 people will go on for a chance to 'Win the Twin'. Once the final drawing is over the person not drawn for the twin in the final bracket would end up with a runner up prize(hence the 3 runner up prizes)

The odds of winning the Twin goes down but the odds of winning something goes way up. Maybe instead if a lottery drawing to get the 16 people we could nominate people to be in the bracket(that way if you don't win its your forums buddys fault! lol)..might be a tough call though ?

so would there be 16 prizes? i think i understand, they pick 16 people and then 8 people, and the 8 that didnt get picked get the last prize, and then those 8 that they chose go in a bowl in 4 get picked and the four that werent picked get the second to last prize, and the then 4 that were picked go into a bowl and they pick 2 people and the 2 people that werent picked get the third to last prize the out of the 2 they picked they pick the winner of the twin and the one they didnt pick gets the runner up prize.

Yeah Renee, something along those lines. Think of it as a sports playoffs, your up against 1 person at a time cheap drawing. You were saying to draw 4 from 8 in a bowl but the odds(although whoever your in a bracket with maybe drawn as well so that may not work if they stuck to the bracket, would work either way I suppose) are the same so I guess it wouldn't matter.

True but if you have alot of posts your more likely to be nominated because people know you/your icon since you've posted so much!

I'm just not sure how the nominations would be tallied. I know there would be more that 16 people nominated.
