Hey guys, I might be heading up to Heavenly one day, and I was just wondering what you guys thought of the place? What would be a good side to start at on the mountain? I guess we're looking for a good mix of different runs, with some small features. Any info would be great!

ya know, i just posted a whole big thing in the resorts forum about where to go at heavenly - and now it's gone.
My personal preference, is to start on the NV side - at Stagecoach (don't bother going to boulder, it takes you twice as long to get up to any real trails). From there it's pretty easy to get to all sorts of stuff - even the CA side if you want to go over there.
I'm not a big fan of the CA side - most of the lessons are over there, most of the people who go to heavenly go over there, and there's not as many trails. It just turns into a bit of a clusterfuck.
Depending on when you guys head up, let me know. I live right there by stagecoach - so if it's on a day i can ride, i don't mind rollin out with yall and showin you around a bit.

Let me know too, actually. I was supposed to ride with Sinix last time I was at heavenly, but it fell through. Then when we finally did meet up, I screwed up my back and he was sick as a dog. Plus I've been meaning to ride with you and Jeff for a while

Cool, Jeff and I might be heading up there sometime in March, I think around the end of March. We're not too positive yet if we're heading out there, but we'll definitely let you know.

we might be going there this Saturday for a feeler before we make our big end of year trip on the last week of this month. It's will be me, Steff and my brother, we're meeting my parents who is going to be there already.
Only thing that is making it set in stone is finding a good deal on tickets, Savemart has them for 66 and 55, which is not bad. Sinixstar you know of anywhere local in SLT that has them for even better price? |

Heavenly is a great place for skiers.
Snowboarding can be a bit tough on the flats when it's crowded. In other words, it is a freeriding paradise.   |

Not really. I got a pass - so I don't even know what tickets go for these days.
I know it was super high around the holidays - i think it came down though. Just not sure down to what.
If you guys end up comin saturday (tomorrow?) shoot me a cell number. Not sure if i'm goin out tomorrow or not. Got a lot of stuff to take care of - but if i do, i'll give you a call.
I know i'll be out sunday - but tomorrow is a tossup.

When it comes to views, nothing beats ridge run.
To avoid the lines, I hang around olympic.

man I wish I saw your post Sinixstar, but yeah we were in Heavenly on Saturday. I have to say, from what I have seen place is nice. I wish I was there in more better conditions instead of the ice and slush, not to mention with a serious congestion and cough. I managed to get the savemart/lucky discounted passes, and for the $66 it was pretty worth it. Nice scenic place, nice runs, and also one thing I loved, mellow nice approachable people.
