I hear ya man, id rather be riding at night these days too.  Ive just been trying to meet up with this girl all winter so i dont want to bail on her.  She is supposed to let me know tomorrow as soon as she finds out if shes riding.

I have clinicals until 2pm tomorrow and if i dont hear from her, i can be on the road by 330 for a night trip.  Sorry about all this last minute nonsense dude.  If you want, you can PM me your number and i can text you when i know what the deal is.  If not i will try to check back here as soon as i find out.  How far are you from Liberty?

I'm about 40min from Liberty..I live right in Frederick City.  I'm going up tomorrow regardless...and should be on the road by 430 and am usually there just after 5.  I know what you mean..so no biggie if you cant go tomorrow...but hopefully we can meet up.  I'm usually riding solo during the week.

Yea... unfortunately two weeks of above freezing temperatures doesn't help the mountains.  Next weekend is the last weekend my club has a house up at snowshoe, and we're all dressing as gapers.  Just hoping the weather can last till then.  I'm definitely trying to hit up closing weekend though, my friend says they do pond skimming, which ive always wanted to try.

I watched a guy at Beech last season flip and almost break his neck at the pond skimming. Snowboards are designed for snow, NOT water. It's just not worth it.

Last year at Beech I saw a skier do a flip exiting the pond skim and he landed on his head. Luckily, he skied off, but I'll never do it.

I went to Whitetail when it opened on 12/30 Friday.

They had their green slopes open. It wasn't too bad, cause there weren't a lot of ppl. No crowds that day, but then again no slopes.

They had quite a few noticeable upgrades, new snow makers, new slope, new deck area.....

I'll be there again this Saturday. Although there should be a horrendous crowd.

At wintergreen it snowed around 8 inches on sunday. I wish it would stay as cold as it was recently, but this week it will get above 40 degrees again.
