I know that Wisp in west Maryland opened the 24th of November...snow is gonna hit up south PA this weekend so it should be coming down south hopefully.

Oh man you got my hopes up! Their website says that all trails are closed and they've only had 5 inches of snow so far.

Whitetail's website says that they plan to open in early december but i cant see that happening either. They've still got highs in the 50's and the forecast looks like rain this week. Bummer.

Finally some snow in VA.  Also looks like the trip to snowshoe tomorrow and Monday will be worth it since they are getting more today than expected and some more on Monday and Tuesday.

I would rather be in CO than here for the 8-10 inches we got her in VA/WV snow, but I will take the snow we got heading to snowshoe after the game to make some turns tomorrow.

I am from Washington state I am used to bigger mtn riding, but I have been in the park since last year trying to learn. I used to be really big into back country but there is really none out here. I live just outside Harrisonburg VA. How far is Wintergreen.

i hit up opening day at Whitetail this morning. Conditions were actually semi decent for it being the first day of the season. They had like 7 trails open i think. They are expecting rain this week though which is gonna wash out all that pretty snow they have been making.

This is my second season boarding. I am trying to get into park as well. Wintergreen is near Charlottesville I think...I will look into more as the season progresses.

If you're in Charlottesville, Massanutten is pretty close to you.

Yea Wintergreen is very close to Charlottesville. The resort is just a bit southeast. Basically you take 29 south to 64 west, then its about 20 miles away.

If anyone is interested in Snowshoe this Sunday would be a good day to go over its their demo days which normally has a pretty good turn out each year.  They are also should have around 35 trials and park should be open and in top notch shape.

Massanutten was alright, its kinda of what I expect from the east coast now. I am going back tomorrow, apparently they will have all their runs open this weekend. The parks didn't look like to much snow was getting blow on them. As long as it gets a little colder and we get some natural snow Massanutten will be in good shape. Has anyone been to timberline this year yet?

I haven't and hope that will get some natural stuff soon.  I am surprised that Mass doesn't have a lot of snow on the park they normally really try to get that going cause they typically have  a lot of park rats.

They are calling for 8-12 inches around here last i heard.

I hit up Whitetail yesterday for about 7 hours. Not many trails open but the conditions were suprisingly good.

My GF and I might be going to WG on Sat night to ride all day Sunday if this storm dumps enough snow on VA. Otherwise we'll probably go to Beech or WP.

Sorry, we don't know any other chicks that'll ride with us. We ride with 1 other guy all the time though, no big deal. We're both beginners still though, so we'll be on the green runs mostly and maybe the blue runs toward the end of the day. I'm hoping to do a lesson so we can learn faster too.

School is out here at VT and the last people trying to leave flooded the streets/highways.  Too bad they're driving little sedans and get stuck in the snow.
