Oh man you got my hopes up! Their website says that all trails are closed and they've only had 5 inches of snow so far.

Whitetail's website says that they plan to open in early december but i cant see that happening either. They've still got highs in the 50's and the forecast looks like rain this week. Bummer.

The first chance to hit any slopes near VA other than upstate PA will be this weekend when Snowshoe opens up

Massanutten is supposed to be blowing snow the weekend of the 5th and hopes to open between then 9-12. Snowshoes new opening date is the 5th.

I am going to go to snowshoe (depending on the weather) the 12th.

I have been waiting for it to snow in VA/WV for a month and the week I leave to go board in Colorado(which so far has been awesome.) it dumps. =(

Yea, we got something like 10-12 inches in CO last night got some decent riding in. Sucks that I am heading back Wensday.

Lol I am starting to ride as Massanutten on Wensday and thursday for sure and I work nights this weekend but I should be there if anyone wants to ride hit me up.

I am from Washington state I am used to bigger mtn riding, but I have been in the park since last year trying to learn. I used to be really big into back country but there is really none out here. I live just outside Harrisonburg VA. How far is Wintergreen.

This is my second season boarding. I am trying to get into park as well. Wintergreen is near Charlottesville I think...I will look into more as the season progresses.

No I am not in Charlottesville. I thought that Wintergreen is close to there. Where is it anyway? Yeah Massanuten is my main mountain.

Yea they are about the same distance from Fredricksburg.  I haven't been to wintergreen in like 10 years so if anyone hits it up soon post how it is and maybe i will  venture that way.

Massanutten was alright, its kinda of what I expect from the east coast now. I am going back tomorrow, apparently they will have all their runs open this weekend. The parks didn't look like to much snow was getting blow on them. As long as it gets a little colder and we get some natural snow Massanutten will be in good shape. Has anyone been to timberline this year yet?

this is one of those park rats :) There is supposed to be snow over the next couple days so good luck trying to get that Wooli.

School is out here at VT and the last people trying to leave flooded the streets/highways.  Too bad they're driving little sedans and get stuck in the snow.

I think we spoke last year about your day trips to WG. I just called them a few minutes ago and the road up is closed, impassable even to my AWD car. I'm hoping that we can leave tomorrow early morning and that the roads are clear and open. I'm in Cary actually, and my GF works in Apex.
