Really? That was my first and only time up there. Guess it was my lucky day  You have to be there to see it, just feels peaceful. After that, it was kinda scary not being able to see ahead of you going through the clouds  |

it's also a pain in the ass trying to find storage for all that crap! Seriously, i've got boxes and boxes of slides and photos and negatives that i've just dumped in the trash. A lot of the pictures you take end up not being as great as you think they might be at the time. problem with film, is you don't know that until AFTER you've spent the time and the energy and the money developing it. With digital, if it's crap - you just delete it. I do still prefer film - but it can be a pain in the rear. I guess that's part of the fun, is waiting to see what it actually comes out like - but then you have to deal with it after the fact. |

just thoughd i'd throw this in this thread so i dont have to make a new one, and since this is about photography
anyone seen the canon Xsi "journey" commercial? i'd honestly have to say it is my favorite commercial of all time. just the way its put together and the music its set to is just incredible |

my studio is in my garage, I basically shoot off a 9ft white or black ground then just recomposed it on photoshop.

BUuuuuu so I just bought this backpack for my new camera gear cause I didnt wanna spend 200$ on a camera bag that would label me a great person to mug - and also are un-steezy, and i hate the dividers inside them.
 so this back pack turned out to be prefect because A) it is already heavily padded for a laptop - like way more than any laptop probably needs. B) it zips almost completely open! C) i thought it wasn't water proof UNTIL i found a pocket on the bottom that when you open it up - out comes a shell to cover the backpack! COOL I was initially going to do a padded insert inside, but ive decided to just leave my lenses in their cases they came in. everything fits pefectly into the backpack. we were meant to be <3 |

heh those look neat.
But you know to do a proper HDR you have to take like 5 photos: 2 under exposed, one normal exposure, and 2 over exposed... usually on a tripod unless you have a bracket feature on your camera. sometimes you can HDR from a RAW photo. I dont have an HDR program but I soooo wanna try some :-( lol |

Zoe, you have photoshop right? That has HDR support right in it... File ->Automate -> Merge to HDR And I don't have a tripod...instead for those shots I had a binder and about four shots each. Came out pretty good actually...I want to shoot someone's car sometime and see how it turns out, like my friends bright red Si |

ah cool.
and I think there are better programs for doing HDR - but then again, I dont know a WHOLE lot about it other than the concept. I didn't even know PS had an automation for HDR haha. see you learn something every day. Ill check it out when I get a chance! |

yeah me to. i went on a long board cruise last night at 1 in the morning to clear my head and when i got back my mom was on the stairs. she starts asking me what ive been doing and why i was out. i told her i went for a night skate and she said that that isnt normal and treated me like i was doing drugs or something. it was weird.

lame.. lots of parents seem really closed off from "different" ideas. going out late at night = drugs? right.
late night skating is awesome though. its one of my favorite times to skate.. 1-3 in the morning, somewhere in an empty parking lot of a grocery store still lit up, skating the red/yellow curbs. i skated in the middle of downtown spokane for a while at 2am with my brother last year.. soooo rad. we found some awesome spots. |

yeah my parents are really accusing.
i skate at night to relax and just chill out. turn on some Postal Service or shins and just cruise.
but sometimes i go down to 7-11 or something and go crazy. depends on my mood.

This summer id go on mtn bike rides above my house i never got caught cause it was 1-4am but i got scared because of mtn lions. thyre are tons around my house i was stalked last year hiking to sum chutes about 5 miles from my house
 But yah my parents are super paranoid too
