i'll figuring out how to use my SLR, but this is way cool, and i don't have a tri-pod so sorry about being blurry.. but i had to take this pic.  it was the first storm of the season and its the reflection of the city lights over the Sacramento valley. 

I'll throw up a few to resurrect this thread.

Speaking of giant star fish, did you (or anybody really) see the show "Planet Earth" on Discovery?  I know it's a little old but they actually did a rerun of it yesterday.  Anywho, one of the things they featured was a crazy reef area, apparently by California, and they showed these giant star fish in time-lapse cruising around on the ocean floor eating smaller star fish and sand dollars.  Pretty sweet.  Looks like they're just floating around the bottom.

I totally agree that is not only big the colors look really cool on it.

heres a cool picture i took at just the right time of a firework show in disney world using my iphone

So, my parents and brother bought Brody and I a Nikon D70 for Christmas.  I'm still getting use to all of the setting and whatnot on it, but I took these two photos a few days after Christmas out in Brody's dad's walnut orchard in Northern California.  They don't look much like the actual sunset did, but I was actually really stoked on the way they turned out anyway :

Wow VR those look awesome.  Let me know if you ever want to do that on a weekend or a wed.  I'd def be up for a snowshoe.
