    Posted: Oct/10/2008 at 11:32am

Had to re-install my operating system and forgot to keep Adobe 8 around.  I had previously bought a licensed version for 100 bucks from somewhere, can't remember where now.  Anyone got the 411 on the cheapest place to get it?

^^^ I wouldn't reccomend that. To much risk in it, but thats just me. Plus I'd rather have a hard copy, than just a disk image, even though you can burn it.

Every time I try and get a torrent, I download something nasty, thats why I had to re-install my operating system in the first place.

I just checked craigslist and someone is selling a boxed copy of CS3 master edition with all Adobe programs for 90 bucks, in the event that falls through though, I still need to get this asap.

Read the comments on a torrent before you download it. Why is it too risky Nater?

I've just had a few friends that got fines, and their computers confiscated by the police for downloading torrents.

Haha. Lucky you. I'll still never trust them. Plus, for some reason, my laptop won't run disk images Tongue.

I got my own copy but I know people who've downloaded it from piratebay and not had any problems with running it, I reckon that's probably the cheapest/quickest option for you..

ive downloaded quite a bit of stuff off of there and havent had any problems, but i can understand you not wanting to risk it, but i havent gotten any warnings or anything or heard of anyone around here getting caught but i am pretty much the only one that does it within 10 square miles haha but good luck with getting it, if you want something off piratebay i could probably put it on a disk for you or i could try at least

go to any college campus, pop into the architecture studio (or anything design related), and ask any of the students there.  Everyone in my studio has a pirated version, we just pass it around.  Adobe software is wayyy too much for college students!

i got mine form mininova with no viruses, for my windows previously and now my mac. if you just want photoshop illustrator or indesign, and you have a mac, download a trial of each from adobe itself and then there is a way to stop it from phoning home and invalidating a fake serial. www.machacks.tv. worked perfectly for me. there probably is a windows form of this as well.
