Video Soon  To Come

Mike Says: The Salomon Tempest is a beginner board of choice for riders with big feet. The waist width is wider on this board, so your toes will not overhang the board and make turning difficult. Salomon designed the Tempest with progression in mind. The construction features on the tempest will help riders learn smooth turns at low speeds and then master those turns at high speeds. You can not go wrong with the Salomon Tempest.

Aaron Says: The Salomon Tempest rocks the jukebox with a low price tag and serious all-mountain versatility. Designed for beginning riders with boot size 11.5 and up, you can ditch that toe drag and let your pants sag.

This is my first board.  I bought it early this season (from the ONLY snowboard shop I go to--Sierra Snowboard!) and have rocked it many times on the mountain.  It is an AWESOME board for beginners.  Great for powder and groomers.  This board is great because it's slow when you want it to be and fast when you want it to be.  It's flex is great for learning too.  I think (and correct me if I am wrong) that the flex is not super flexie but not stiff either.  So you go off of a hump and land a little funny you might catch an edge as aposed to a different (more flexie) board that may let you ride out of it.  I think it's better to learn on a board like this.  Every time I hit the mountain I was learning more QUICKER!  The first day I was leafin, the second day I was hittin straight lines, getting more comfortable with speed, the next weekend I was semi carving and the next day I was completely carving and linking turns.  Making small and large "S's" in the snow made me so happy!  Some people look at Salomon and think, "I would never buy a ski brand!"  But the fact of the matter is, they know what they hell they are doing and do it well.  The quality is there.  Their boards are sick.  My next stick--Salomon Prospect all the way!
