Mike Says: Last season, Burton introduced the Blunt and it truly smoked all the competition away. The Burton Blunt is an interesting snowboard because it can serve multiple purposes. The main function of the Burton Blunt is a soft-flexing park board. The Burton Blunt can help any rider perfect their nose presses and board slides. We recommend that you feel confident riding every groomed run before you venture into the terrain park. Secondly, because the Burton Blunt is soft flexing, it can be a great tool for intermediate riders who want to perfect their form on the slopes.

Donald Says: The Burton Blunt is known as the best value in freestyle snowboards. It is super durable for long days spent in the terrain parks, and is nice and soft flexing for some superb "butterability." With the Burton Blunt you get the top park performance at a super low price. New for this year, it is coming in a new array of sizes all the way from 142 - 158. So, anyone can light up the park on the Blunt.

A friend of mine loves the blunt (the board...geesh)

He isn't too into park but is steadily getting better at it each year.

He just bought the 06 board last season nad remarkebly increased his skill level in the park by a lot.

The board is just the right amount of flex and holds very well on turns for being a park oriented board.

Also having a cheap price helps a lot.

This, the WWW, P-line, or the Street Series.... are all great boards

but this coming from a brand like burton you know that it isn't just going to fall apart after the first season of riding it.

overall answer to this board: good board- GREAT price

The Blunt. Fun board to jib around with and kill it. But honestly unless you are in love with the graphics, you should spend the extra money for the dominant.

Basically it rides like a cross between the Dominant and Burton's LTR board.

But if you are an intro jibber who only has a little bit of cash, jump on the Blunt.

Again, I think for $50 more bucks you can get the Dominant, and it is able to be taken all over the mountain.

i demoed this years blunt, as i have last years and i still see the same concerns. The board is obviously a park board and i would highly recommend not taking it all mountain because when the speed picks up, it gets very chattery and unstable. Some people claim it for all mountain use, but i would argue otherwise.

As you can see this thread is from 2006 and Jimbo use to be Staff.  The thread is for reviewing your experiences for the Blunt (as is for all the threads in this section).

If you want the blunt then why not buy the Stunt for a fraction of the price?  It's the same board but with a Sierra label.
