Agree with the 8 team expansion.  Would have been an amazing 3 weeks with record viewing audiences for each game.

Congrats to the Buckeyes. I didn't expect them to win. I thought the Ducks would blow them out with their speed. But I guess OSU's 3rd QB is the real deal. If all 3 of them return to school next year, who's going to start? All 3 should be starting somewhere...or decide to move on to the next level? But I guess it's the O-line that deserves the most credit. Wide open lanes for Elliot to run and good protection for the QB to make his throws.

The college football playoffs was a good idea, otherwise, OSU wouldn't even be in the championship game. I would like to see it expand to 8 teams..or 10, with top 2 getting a bye or something.

That was a catch. I'd like to see the ref try to catch with 2 hands then move it to 1 hand and stretch for the end zone. Don't tell me that's not an athletic football move..because the ref can't even make that move if he tried.

Yeah, no kidding. That was a bad game. How about that game last night though! Gasol was a beast with a career high 46 points and 18 rebounds to go along with it!  Not getting Carmelo was a blessing in disguise for us. Pau has been a huge pickup and at a value compared to what we would of got 'Melo for. Plus we built one of the best benches out of it.  I bet Carmelo is regretting no signing with the Bulls.  Knicks are the leagues worst at 5-35. Man oh man does Phil got some serious rebuilding to do.

All the unwritten rules in baseball is just dumb. The sport has become antiquated and fans have left to watch other things. Pete Rose needs to be in the HOF as a player. His gambling afterwards had nothing to do with how he played on the field. Players that used PEDs should not be excluded..simply because it was NOT against the rules when they used! Oh wait, I forgot..unwritten rules...

^^ You said it best with one word: baseball.

That sport is nothing now but an archaic pile of old white men yelling "get off my lawn!" ... even if they are not old or white, they still act that way.

The sport itself is boring as hell, and it's only getting worse. They can't even celebrate the best of the best without some sort of unwritten "rules."

Those 15 writers that didn't select Johnson need their heads cut open and examined: "Dr, check it out! This guy's head is just empty!"  "Indeed it is.. indeed..."

^ I don't understand the baseball writers' mindset, 15 writers did not select Johnson.  On sports talk radio this morning they were discussing how these days no one should go into the Hall with 100% of the votes since Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Willie Mayes, Ted Williams, etc. did not receive 100% of the votes.

Pete Rose needs to be in the HOF.  His gambling occurred while he was a manager not a player, so he needs to go into the HOF as a player.  Only 2 players in MLB history have more than 4,000 hits: Rose and Ty Cobb.

4 players going into the baseball Hall of Fame: Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, Pedro Martinez, and Craig Biggio. All of them except Biggio were 1st ballot. I guess there's a shift in how the voters are voting.Clap

^ Growing up in Chicago I am definitely not a fan of the Lions but the picked up flag/rescinded penalty was a bad call.  Worse was Dez Bryant running onto the field sans helmet to argue with the refs, that should have been a 15 yard penalty.

It allowed for the two best teams to get in.  The ducks would have been on the outside looking in as Alabama rolled FSU, without the playoffs.

Those were some wild college football games yesterday, starting with Michigan State coming from behind to beat Baylor (my money was on Baylor).  Wisconsin edged Auburn in OT (my money was on Auburn), Oregon pounded FSU (money on Oregon) and Ohio State beats 'Bama (money on the Tide).  Overall it was a bad day for my NCAA bowl game picks...

^ Awkwardly worded but I agree, Alabama will be the national champs.  They should have no problem beating OSU (posers) and Oregon should beat FSU setting up an Alabama-Oregon national championship game.  Oregon will give Alabama a run for the money but in the end the Crimson Tide will win.

Dallas lost by 3 to the Rockets, playing w/o Dirk. With the starters playing, they were up at half time. Then the reserves/D-league players lost it in the 2nd half. Jameer Nelson started at PG and only scored 3pts and 2 assitsts. Both Devin Harris and Raymond Felton played better. Maybe they'll rethink who starts at PG...

Wow.  Miss St is 3rd in the rankings.  Didn't see that coming.

Oregon down to 11th.  Pretty fun that the Pac 12 is wide open with all teams (except Arizona) having a loss.
