This is correct, my game is usually bad about 95 percent of the time then I hit that ONE good shot a round and convince myself I can do it again Clap

The King, Arnold Palmer, passed away over the weekend.  Drinking an Arnold Palmer in honor of him.

My Utes went up five spots to 18 in the country over the weekend.  I'm hate to say it but we are overrated.  Barely beating USC (who is less than good this year) shouldn't cause such a huge jump in the polls.

Notre Dame and Michigan State shat the bed last weekend.  Can anyone say "over-rated"?

Les Miles gets fired from LSU for being crazy, should have happened last season.

Nah, the best way to get better is to keep playing.  My handicap was the lowest ever when I was in 2 leagues and played once or twice on the weekend.  And then I got a girlfriend...

I don't know if they still do, but they used to make golf balls that glow in the dark. You'd put a tiny little glowstick inside of it, and it was super easy to find where your shot went in twilight/evening conditions. I don't remember if they shot straight, but I can't imagine they would be as predictable as a regular golf ball.

Went golfing last night.  Beautiful night as it was sunny and 70 degrees cooling down to the low 60's by the time we finished.  That was about the only thing that was nice about golfing yesterday.  I lost 5 balls three of them Pro V1.

Well the tribe has been getting closer to win the division through no fault of their own, so weird the way this has gone lately.  one thing the Detroit fans and I know tonight, however, is that at least one of our teams will win a game Clap

^ I agree.  If the coaches can't coach up a #1 pick enough to have him suit up for a game then they are doing it wrong.  Possibly could be Goff's problem, too, if he didn't put in the time or effort.

I blame it on the coaching staff that they couldn't coach up a #1 pick to even dress for the game. The #2 pick Wentz did just fine in his start. Pick #135 Prescott also did ok, even though he didn't get the win. Last year, #1 pick Winston and #2 pick Mariota also were able to start and did just fine. But, the Rams moved up to get the #1 pick, and he can't even be on the active roster for game 1? Dead

That was a total waste of the #1 pick.  Almost as bad as some of the Browns draft choices.

^ And #1 overall pick Jared Goff was inactive as the 3rd string QB.  Wow, trade to move up to get the #1 pick and he doesn't even suit up for the first game.  The Rams are a mess.  Case Keenum blows at QB, which will allow defenses to stack the box and stop the run.  Glad I am not a Rams fan, it's going to be a long season.

^ The defense didn't have to worry about the pass, so they can box in on Gurley and he couldn't get anything done. They should have chucked a few down the field just to keep the defense off the line. But...Jeff Fisher doesn't know how to play that way. LOL

I was surprised the Rams couldn't score even 1 single touchdown, especially with Gurley.  Is the 49er's defense good, the Rams' offense crappy or a combination of both?

Kaepernick is still kneeling. That's my team. Who's the coach? Who's the starting QB? Trying so hard to keep the faith, but this year is going to be really fawking hard to be a Faithful. Go Niners

Four Big Ten teams (Michigan, OSU, Michigan State, Wisconsin) in the top 15 of both polls, AP and Coaches, although the team to beat (again) is still Alabama.  Former MSU coach Nicky Saban made a deal with the devil when he left East Lansing in '99.

A few good matchups this week, #1 Alabama and #19 Ole Miss (who beat 'Bama in week 3 last season 43-37), #2 FSU and #10 Louisville, #12 Michigan State and #18 Notre Dame, #3 OSU and #14 Oklahoma.

Texas remains 11th in the Poll after routing UTEP 41-7. Freshman Shane Buechele looks like he's for real. Looks like the program is starting to turn around with Charlie Strong's recruits starting to get on the field. Hook'em Horns!

Michigan won 51-14.  Disappointed with the offensive line and lack of a good rushing game.  Bo would not be happy.

Central Michigan (CMU) upset #22 OK State on a last play of the game that should not have happened Hail Mary, 30-27.  Nice win for the Chips.

Bucks in a weather (lightning) delay, up 20-3 on Tulsa.  Came back from a bike ride and it was briefly 10-6 Tulsa, which made me hyperventilate, but then it was back to 3-6 so I guess they took something off the board following a review Wink

NFL coaches would love to have that many..but not the owners who have to pay them. Actually, it'll be the fans who have to pay the tab at the end...

Charleston Southern was already 37.5 pt underdogs...sitting 30 players is not going to affect the outcome of the game. It's like suspending a starting pitcher for 3 games... Those 30 players are probably happy they won't have to be embarrassed on the field Tongue

Yeah but with 100 kids it's do-able.  I went to my first NFL game last season (CLE at San Diego what a ball-buster) and that was the first thing I noticed -- how few players there were on the sidelines.  I've been to a million college games and there's so many more players it's amazing, NFL coaches would probably kill to have that many.

In NCAA football Charleston Southern (37.5 point underdog) will suspend over 30 players for it's game against FSU this weekend.  Over 30 players... that really shortens the bench a bit, eh?

^Tape? What's that? You're still using your Betamax?

The UT/ND game was great. The Freshman QB played like he's been there before. Very impressive. Maybe being the son of an ex-MLB player helped with being in the spotlight. But, the birth of Shane Buchele was actually a mistake. His Texas Rangers dad had a vasectomy before Shane was conceived. But, it's safe to say, over 100,000 people at Texas Memorial Stadium were thankful Sunday night for that mistake...LOL
