Finally, somebody's doing something about the corruption at FIFA. When Qatar, a country that has NEVER qualified for the World Cup, gets chosen to host, that's the last straw that broke the camel. The heat in Qatar would also force existing league seasons to be altered because they would have to play the World Cup in Nov and Dec when it's actually bearable to play. The country only has 3 stadiums, and all 3 need to be expanded to host. They have to build 9 stadiums, all of which won't be needed after the World Cup. They don't have the hotels and other infrastructure. They also have problems with human rights and worker (slave) conditions. On paper, Qatar has no chance of ever being considered as a possible host. But, they beat out the US, South Korea, Japan, and Australia? It was just too obvious...

IOC should be next.

Talk has been that she'll get fired and anonymous analysts that work with her have said they don't like her and hope she gets fired too. Too many other people want her job that are just as qualified for her to act that way and be a representative of ESPN with that kind of behavior.

Any body see the video on ESPN's Brit McHenry berating some tow yard clerk? Her behavior is basically verbal bullying. She should get more than just 1 week of suspension...

Most surprising start of the season so far is the Rockies three and zero, but they always seem to start hot then fade

Couldn't agree more.  They swallowed their whistles on many calls that should have gone against Duke.  It seemed that they were aware of Duke's foul trouble and didn't want to give out a 5th foul.

Also they missed what should have been an out of bounds on Duke.  The guy had both feet on the out of bounds line under the basket right in front of the ref, and no call.  Then the replay that clearly showed it was out on Duke.  They said they "didn't see anything" to overturn it.  I'm not sure what they were looking at, but the rest of America watching the game saw it was out on Duke.

In the final minutes of a close game, those were game changing calls.

Please.  Wisconsin could have won and should have manned up.  If they are letting the game be physical, be physical back.  Play the game the way the refs allow it to be paid.  If you don't, you will likely be beaten.

That's what you get when you taunt Kentucky. Daxter Miles Jr., the guy that said Kentucky will be 36-1, played 19 minutes, and was 0-3 in FG, and 0-2 in FT. Should have kept your big mouth shut. Because you made them made, they ran up the score on you, because they can.

Well with Maryland loss, my big upset has now been....can you believe it, UPSET. Still hoping Kentucky will lose though, if they make it past this round they'll have a tough match up of playing either Notre Dame or Wichita State

^ 31 of 32 is pretty incredible, I don't think I ever even came close to that.  I never seem to pick the right upsets.  You can always count on some upsets in the first round and 99% of the time I pick the wrong underdogs.

With the number of high seeds being upset this early I think the odds of a perfect bracket are 1 in never.  You know someone somewhere is going to claim they have a perfect bracket...

Busy weekend of college madness.  #1 Villanova loses to #8 NC State, #2 Virginia falls to #7 Michigan State, #7 Wichita St beats #2 Kansas... a lot of messed up brackets as a result.

Already 2 upsets: UAB over Iowa State and Georgia State over Baylor. Both 14th seed over 3rd seeds. Notre Dame's game against Northeaster was close too, another 3rd vs. 14th seed, but no upset in that one.

Hey you never know!  Anything can happen in this tournament, which is why it's so fun.  The only thing I know for sure is that I will be watching a lot of BBall and drinking a lot of beer this weekend.  Oh and also that Monday will be a very rough day.

I always have a busted bracket quickly so I chose massive upset....giving the edge to Maryland over Kentucky the sweet sixteen! Terps took down Wisconsin earlier this season and I hope they take Kentucky down too (unlikely as that may be)

I don't know about anyone else but I'm still salty about the Murray state snub, ranked #21 at the time of their loss to Belmont in the OVC Championship and they still can't get in?? I can't see that being right

^ Tiger was insatiable until his wife caught him cheating.  Some of the broads he was boinking weren't even attractive, I think one was a Waffle House waitress who was quite skanky.  That's the part I don't get, Elin was hot, really hot.  Why go for some dirty girl (haha, autocorrect changed this to "dirty girl") when you have Elin at home?  Maybe Tiger was looking for some action that Elin wouldn't give him, like playing the back 9?
