Aaron Says: The Gnu Altered Genetic, with Magne-Traction, is by all standards the fanciest snowboard on the face of the planet. A close relative of Dolly the sheep and the Mars Interplanetary Landing Unit, Gnu Altered Genetics employs both rocket and bio-molecular scientists to make up the final product. It is a straight forward all-mountain/freestyle/freeride/park snowboard that comes ready to rip! The only problem is that if I tell you any more you would have to undergo a Vulcan Mind Melt to keep it a secret.

i owned the A.G. board 2 years ago and i hated it, didnt hold an edge worth poop, but it was fast as shizzle though. Hopefully GNU redesigned the shape a little bit (magna traction homies), if so then i would say it woudl be a good board, it has pop for sure, but the old shape of it sucked...... word on the street says GNU is cooler than a one dollar hooker standing out front a dollar tree, for three bucks you can get a good time and a cookie cutter.

I own the Altered Genetics 162 MT and I love it. Edge hold is superb with the MT. Very stable and fast edge to edge. I would definitely recommend this board.

I am riding the 09 right now with banana and I cant imagine a better board. Amazing pop with lots of flex in the tip and tail and enough stiffness between the bindings for good stability at high speeds. Banana makes a great board even better.

Do you like the AG better with or without banana? I have a chance to buy this years without, but I will wait if banana makes a good difference. I like to ride park alot and hit kickers east coast ice groomers. I've heard banana is better in powder and for pressing and not so great on hard groomers and icy kickers. What are your thoughts. Also I like a short board for park I'm 180lbs and would love to pull off the 155 but I'm wondering if I would have trouble holding an edge. Thanks.
