Any idea on how to fix some ripped snow pants. I have a 6" cut down the side of my leg in my white snowpants. Sewing it back together doesn't really work because of the fabric. Any ideas?

Yeah bring them to a dry cleaners or tailor. Tell them you need a strong tight stitch. If they do a good job it should suffice until your next pair.

I'd take it to ole' grandma, and ask nicely, she might do it. Theres a sewing machine at my house and I just set it to a little less than a 1mm stitch, and run it over a few times with heavy duty thread, I've pulled and pulled at them and can't get them apart, and they've lasted a couple years.

Oh, and get some re-seamer stuff too, cause now you have a hole in the cold protection!

There ae places that do repairs for outerwear.  Check the Goretex official website for the list, give them a call for a quote.  Anything non-gore should actually be easier if anything since they don't have to worry about the laminate.

You could potentially just get it taken to a tailor, seamed up, and then goretex patch it.

If that doesn't work, it's just done and time to buy a new set.
ROLL ON, BISHES.

if you're worried about the look sew it up then duct tape it on the inside, no one will ever notice.

go with what kimchi said.  duct tape is a very temporary fix that will end up doing more damage.

What if a small hole is forming on the butt area and you just bought it a week ago?? Will they warranty it? A button came off the first day too!

If you want to be more classic than duct tape....i don't know why you would but they thing i have seen done the best is sow it and a tent patch kit (something of that nature) to keep the water out. Is the cheap you to fix it.
