Which would be better as far as strap comfort and responsiveness -- CO2 or P1 bindings?

haven't had ample time on the co2's, but I'm betting you'd be hard pressed to tell a large difference in the straps.

responsiveness? c02's. They're stiffer and respond very quickly. The P1s are softer and more forgiving.
straps? I think they're the same. I have the c02s and the straps are damn comfortable. Gel and all.

It is commonly said that P1 is very comfortable and pretty responsive whereas CO2 is pretty comfortable and vert responsive. Rich folks have both and use the P1 when they want a more relaxed and less demanding day on the snow.

I have the CO2 and am very happy with how comfortable they are. But I've heard equally good things about the P1 and now the P1.1

well, for my riding I would use P1's but it all depends on your style, like it was said, for something mellow, P1's, for something stiffer, the Co2's

i rode p1.1 in Tignes for a week.... fantastic!!!!

i rode grooms and powder....

The CO2s will be more responsive than the P1s only because the P1s are a bit more padded therefore losing its effective responsiveness.

I have owned both and ridden them quite a bit. The P1 is more comfortable the co2 is more responsive. However the p1 is plenty responsive and the co2 is plenty comfortable. If u want to ride park more get the p1s if u want to freeride more get the co2s.

Thanks for the opinions. Seems like the favorite tends toward the CO2s, esp for freeriding, which is what I do most, but either would be comfortable. That's what I'm going with then, the CO2s. :-)

I also have P1.1's and I wouldn't give them up for C02's for anything. I haven't ridden the c02's but I have ridden c60's and I like the more relaxed feel of the P1.1's for sure. I don't ride that much park either mostly freeride myself and these things are insane! C02's are awesome too from what my friends tell me but I'm like barnyard in the respect that my P1.1's feel soo great that I wouldn't even want to try anything else now. |
