I'm curious to know how many of you spot the end of the box/rail when you're doing frontside boardslides. It's not as comfortable for me to spot it like that. Most times I just look down and don't spot my landing until I've stuck down. It looks sketchier too, but it's a hard habbit to break. It sucks the most on flat-down boxes because I think those look the best.

i prefer to slide on my nose. i feel like its easier to balance and it looks more steezy. with it boned out like that its easier to look around to spot your landing.

That's sick dude, I'm not super comfortable on my nose but I guess it's worth trying. It's been almost a year since I rode last and I'm going to go back up in the first week of April so I'm stoked. I've had a lot of time to visualize my bag I just need to put it to work. Videos aren't doing it anymore...

dont look down. look over that front shoulder. the key is being in that counter rotated position as it will both help you spot the landing and also pretzel out. \

i had the same problem as you at the beginning, but i just broke the habit, since when i look down i would catch an edge very often and hit my face oweeeeeeeee

Yea I know what you're sayin. I got 'em dialed in the way I do it - it sucks because i'm rotating backside off and i'm blind for the landing... maybe i'll upload a video so ya'll can see, i just don't have a way to do it until i'm home.
never know, maybe i'll dial in the shoulder technique next time - we'll see.
