the custom is $530, not $400
they are that price because of the tech in them... price is based on whats in it, but it has nothing to do with how it will perform to you. some people love the custom, others dont. a friend of mine had a custom and hated it, but had an uninc (same price) and loved it. thats a good example of how price/tech doesnt make a board more or less fun in a general sense.

When choosing my board, I wanted to have the newest Burton board with all the bells and whistles. I looked at all the new features and was so excited about the V-rocker/flying V and a lot of the new edge features.
After demoing the boards, I felt a little disappointed and realized that the best is the tried and true design of the regular custom. It's such an all around machine... Like a jack of all trades. It excels at just about everything on the mountain and doesn't disappoint. |

^^vrocker and flying v is not the same thing. people just like it beacuse its really fun to play with. but if you want a good solid board, camber is the way to go

camber is a very solid and reliable option.. its what started it all and has stood the test of time... i just picked up a sherlock flying v and can't be anymore excited to ride it. i thought my buddies custom was awesome and actually made me lookin into the flying V.. u do get what ya pay for i believe.

i am not a hardcore rider... i did enjoy it rode mostly power and hit a few kickers... it has really great pop... its not as stable as a camber board at higher speeds but i like the play it gives ya for buttering and jumping.

with flying v, i think it makes it less suitable for all around and makes it a bit more park specfic than l would want

good to know. i have a burton cambered board, and a custom v rocker, and always wondered how splitting the difference would be. from what i've heard, its closer to v rocker than full camber, so i will just stick with what i have and borrow a friends sometime or something
