Does anyone have any tips or products for cleaning and polishing the top-coat on a board?
I've picked up a few scuffs over the last two seasons and I was wondering if there was a way to buff them out. |

Who cares, just ride it. I think new looking boards look dumb, it means you haven't ridden it hard enough.
I'm sure light scratches will buff out, but I don;t know about deeper ones, maybe cover them up with stickers. |

Dude, wear the scratches loud and proud. Especially cool to show all your friends in AL ...

it is a quality of the edge thing ... you find that less on higher end boards. someone here smarter than me can explain why ...

If you just ride your board they usually get scraped off by itself. If it's at the tail/nose you can just file it a bit |

You gotta wipe it down everytime after you ride because the water dries up on the metal and will rust. If you have taken a chemistry class, you should know this. So make sure just wipe it down and if you put it in a bag, just place the board out to dry for a day or so. |

I hate the scratches that are not caused by you, though.
By the idiot behind you in the lift line who doesn't know how to keep his bloody skies to himself |

first off, scratches on your topsheet are cool beans and do and mean nothing. they actually, don't effect your riding. and also for edges, just get them tuned.

On my Capita, stairmaster, rails actually rub off and leave a dirt mark thingy wingy. it's weirdo. it doesn't effect my riding or the base or anything, but ya, it like makes a dirt mark on the base. It looks like poopy poop. But it's not.

If there is a scratch that is bothering you, my advice is buy a sticker big enough to cover it haha!

I like scratches on my boards...as long as they're from riding (not lift lines or dropping it at home) and they don't affect performance or aren't too gnarly. Scratches give the board a cool, well used look (and you don't feel you have to baby it as much)
burton puts fake scratches on the dom, which kinda looks cool...but isn't, only because it's fake ![]()
