got some nice summer skiing on glaciers in the European Alps

Santiago, Chile is like South America's Denver, CO. 90 minute drive from the city to the mountains and there are 4 resorts up there I think, one is called Colorado, one is Valle Nevado, can't remember the other names.

Apparently, it's different, because they don't get the constant snowfall that the rockies get. They get a couple monstrous week-long storms and tons of dry days, so your timing has to be right. Everything's above the treeline too, the base areas are at some crazy elevation like 10000 feet, so most of the runs are open area.

But it's somewhat cheaper and, like someone else mentioned, a bit of a throwback, with lots of Australians, Europeans, white Brasilians, and Europeans there enjoying the old-school lifts without the pipes, parks, and carved-out groomers that we're used to in the US.

We have a repair dude at my mountain in WY that is from Chile and travels back and forth to always be near the snow, and he told me that Santiago is the place to go. All that info is from him. I've never been there myself. He told me that I'd be let down because the resorts in the US are so much nicer and that WY gets wayyy more snow than his mountain down there.

i have actually seen a video of snowboarders ride ramps etc but there was no snow...

wakeboarding isn't hard.  if you have a boat/know someone with a boat it's easy to learn and it's a blast.

Eat fastfood everyday and see how much you can gain.

go naked to the slopes. make sure its snowing and theres a lot of wind

get snow from a ice rink near by and get a truck and load it to a hill and session a box or rail

I used to do some XC mountain bike racing in the summer in the WORS series. Most of the races were on ski slopes. It was pretty fun.
