Haven't had to worry about snowplayers all season.  Sadly I'd rather have had good snow and all the crap (traffic, snowplayers, lines) that go with it.

I think it is.  The last 2 seasons were probably the exception with the resort closing last week of April and into May.

East resort is closed and with how warm it was...I see it actually closing on the 8th.  A huge puddle formed at the top and everything was slush.

It doesn't even seem like mt high got those 2 storms at all.

i haven't been to high for over a month but will go this weekend. sad to hear its the last but at least I'll be able to enjoy it if it is. Was at mammoth past weekend, it was really nice!

^Damnit! i was waiting for high to set that 180 earlier in the week, did they say how long it's going to stay up, How is it do you need a lot of speed? i want to hit it before it gets taken down, sad to see all the snow melting away in the blistering sun.

Yeah I saw so many people taking spills on that box.  Speed isn't an issue...I think the first couple of boxes are tilted so you have to aim to the left.  I kept coming on dead center so I would shoot off to the right after 3-4boxes.

mt high announced today was there last day... unless this weeks storm leaves some decent coverage, then theyll open for the weekend.

One of my friend's friend found the golden egg.  Apparently he followed a mt high employee around 10 who hid it on the dirt at the turn of upper chisholm.

So I guess the golden egg isn't on the mountain from the get go...

is Mt High better than Big Bear? i don't know much about the mountains around LA. I have a season pass to Mammoth cuz all my friends go there instead for the better snow

there's was a big thread debate over this and it got pretty heated. Outside of snow conditions:
The drive to mt high is easier, especially after a storm.
parking is usually easier at big bear if you dont mind getting shuttled from the lower lot.
Mt High has a cheaper season pass $350($300 for renewals) vs $409 (bear only anytime)
Chair 9 at bear is the worst. But so are some of the bottom lifts at Mt High's West resort. If you know where to go, you can avoid the crowds.
like mentioned before, the snow quality is about the same.

Mammoth is nice, but it's kind of hard to hit that every weekend. Bear/Mt High have shorter drives, thus making the pass easier to get your money's worth.

I'm expecting them to be open by Saturday with the storm filling in the thin spots & some pow if not i'm trespassing.

the drive to bear is much to be hated if there is any snow falling... sharp turns windy roads
