Still in the works, but does anyone have any suggestions on some good riding around the middle of July? I'd like to take a week of vacation around my birthday just to ride and get away from the hot NY summers. I'm willing to travel, but hopefully not too far as airfare can get rather expensive.

Mt. Hood, Oregon. They have camps you can go to. Or you could go to New Zealand if you have the cash

July riding in the US is Timberline or nothing. You're in the wrong hemisphere. NZ, Chile, etc. are the places to chase winter.
Timberline is open to the public, but the park is through Mt. Hood Camps (or something like that) they run around $1100 but for 5 days of lift tickets, lodging, etc. that's not that bad of a deal if you work it all out. |
