I know that SierraSnowboard cuts the prices around march, so the 09 stuff now are on sale.

and when it's november, im guessing the '10 models come out, (expensive). at that time, are the '09 stuff still around? price is same?

I want to know, because I wanna buy stuff for next season, but don't know when is the best time to do that.
Thanks.

I like to buy my gear right now.  I don't have deep pockets so I can't afford to buy the new season's stuff that season.  I've noticed from my limited experiences that sellers of older gear on ebay will increase prices when the next season is about to start because of a raised demand for gear.

no other place to be

now. i dont think 09 will drop any lower. if you wait, you just risk the items selling out. our season is coming to an end but for the aussies it has not even started yet.

Most 09 stuff are likely to be sold out the beginning of the '10 season.

i just got the other day. i expect that most places will sell out of the stuff i want in the size i want. did not want to take the chance. sure, prices may come down another 10% or so even later into the spring/summer, but the pickings will be slim. just my two cents

if you see something you want, buy it before it is gone.  Don't wait for it to be discounted more.

I don't hedge my bets on those sales, I view them as a lottery ticket. Most stuff is going to sell out at current prices by then, so if you have something specific you want, it's better not to wait. Spring is, IMHO, the best balance of dirt cheap sale prices and availability of stock/sizes.

Now's the time.  As you've probably seen, some gear have sold out already so the longer you wait, you risk not getting the gear you want.  Even if prices do go down from here (it's bloody cheap as it is, no?), the greater the chance that you'll miss out on the choice of equipment.

I'm just getting into the sport and I ordered a ton of equipment (last year's models) for next season at a killer discount.  I'd advise you to do the same before it's too late.

Enjoy!

I believe come 2010 season prices for 2009 will drop a little more, but it will be pretty difficult to find anything decent around then...

70% off is about the best you can hope for.  SS has one day deals that are better once in a while that they'll announce during the giveaway but you shouldnt count on that if you want something specific.  next season the 09 stuff will be cheaper but most sizes will be sold out.
if you're riding a a 140 soemthing or a 160 something you're safe, otherwise, grab it now while you can

End of the season. and honestly, it also depends a lot on where you look, (websites, stores, ectr...) last year, i didn't come here and i got crappyish (sorta) gear 40% off, when i could've gotten killer gear here (best web site EVER) for 50-70% off.

If youre just starting out, getting together a decent snowboard package you can wait until the begining of the next snow season and get some really good items at great prices. But if youre looking for specific items its best to start to buy 1 or 2 weeks before the end of the season before they sell out.

My mentality is that if its around 30-40% off and its something that i see alot of on the mountain throught the year and I really want it to just drop the dime because it more than likely will sell out before the price goes lower.
