anybody know how to do this yourself? my burton hails have been killing my arch in my feet, i was thinking of heat molding it might make it better.

you could take it to a shop because they have a special little machine for it... or you could try it yourself and may ruin it with a hair dryer.

heat molding wont help the arch.
get good insoles. and maybe your boots are just to big, forcing the muscles in your arch to do more work because of a sloppy fit. |

if you do heat mold take it to a shop so it is done right...but Spencer is right that probably will not solve your problem...go with his suggestion first and take your boots into a store and fit them with insoles...try them on and see if it feels more comfortable...obviously this will not simulate riding conditions but gives you best chance to solve problem without having to buy new boots.

No boot is truely heat mold able besides 32 boots. The main reason people put there boots on heaters is to help break them in faster. But yeah insoles wouldn't be a bad idea either.
