Is anybody else depressed that the season is over?  I recently got into snowboarding.. actually, i got into on march 7.  And have gone every weekend since.  I was hooked instantly.  I am so sad now that the season is over.  Anybody else feel the same?

Honestly, i'm not.
It's been so warm here for so long - i haven't even thought about riding at all. I've been BBQ'ing and whatnot.
I'm sure come summer when i'm tired of the heat I won't be able to wait for winter - but for now - i'm done.

I'm here for the gangbang....

yep.  and its especially hard to go from taking the season off from work and riding every day, to riding maybe once a week (hiking) and going back to work.  i also dont like the warmth of summer.  i mean.. its only in the 60s and 70s here most of the time, but thats too warm for me.  i prefer the 20s..... haha.

I always get sad at the end of winter and the end of summer. That's why I find something fun to do for the next season. Then I feel sad because I can't do it anymore. It is a relentless cycle.

I'm not sad.  I had an excellent season.  I'm going to try and make it up at least once more when Mattaleo comes out.  However after these 75 degree temps there might be no snow left.

Anyway, spring and summer bring so many new opportunities to bike, hike, bbq, fish, camp.  So I'm not sad.  Get out there and find some new hobbies.

Not sad at all. Season here at Hood lasts all summer so I can really go boarding any day. Plus my loose work schedule will probably allow me go camping and hanging out with friends more than last summer. I'm stoked

I was referring to the good stuff.  You can board ice on the east coast.  I was hoping for some nice soft powder. My naked dance didn't work.  At least not yet.

I figure I can get in another 20+ days before the lifts stop running in 7 weeks...And I plan to hike St. Mary's Glacier to get in some summer turns too.  But when it's so warm, it is getting tougher to drag myself up to the mountains.

Not sad, Hood is open all summer, but around this time of year is when I start thinking motorcycles and basketball.  Plus camping trips, bbq's etc.

A bit sad, but I'm ready for the seasons to change.  I've ridden every weekend since Thanksgiving, except one.

39 days on 15 different mountains
4 in epic pow
5 states
2 countries

I destroyed a Burton Deuce, Harrah's Reno destroy my Fat Cat rack, broke a ton of gear, drank gallons of beer, met some really cool people, rode some awesome mountains, had a blast.

I'm going to camp, surf, golf, ride my bike (human powered), and fish.  I'll get away to Mt. Hood for a week in the summer just to mess around, but overall I'm pleased with the season and glad to have it under my belt.

Squaw is open into May, but I shut it down yesterday.  Looking forward to Thanksgiving 2009 for sure Wink

Yeah, I completely agree, my body hates hot weather, I much prefer layers and comfy warmth, not sweaty, uncomfortable, working in 90 degree weather....I wish it was winter all the time....

it would probably go better if I had a summer sport to participate in like wakeboarding or something to keep me occupied, but alas, I don't have any baller friends who have boats. Cry

this weekend was so slushy and dirty - you'de think I'd be over it.  Fact is, I had fun and want more.  I do think I cracked a rib on a bailed jump, so that was perfect timing

oh, well...I can finally wash all my stuff and clean out my filthy truck

it was a good season: 18 high quality days ridden, 9 of those heavy powder days (most I've ever ridden) and a bunch of new tricks in the bag

No, she gets a special cologne... It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good....They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
