Went fishing yesterday on the Missouri River here in Montana, caught my biggest fish of the summer so far. 19 inch rainbow. River fishing ftw.
![]() I also got a bit sunburned. |

Catching a trophy after a day of sitting on a tiny boat is great. My buddy and I are going to buy a boat spot near our college so we can go fishing when ever we have free time. These pictures are great!

My brother's boat is finally repaired so we can finally take it out from the dock to go sea fishing! I've never caught a fish and only went fishing once at a lake. Do fishes at the sea bite more?

the ocean is a lot bigger...so no, fishing in the ocean is harder for the most part, size being just one reason, but fish are fish, you got the right bait(or lure), the right conditions and you got an alright chance.

fish in the ocean are alot more powerful. ive caught huge lake bass but they are nothing compared to a small bluefish. what will you be doing? jigging or just regular fishing with a lure?

We have sea cast rods and regular cast rods or whatever the right lingo is and will be doing regular fishing I guess. According to the fish almanac booklet, the best fishing time coming up is the first 2 weeks of September but prime is the 2nd week. I'm not hoping to catch anything huge but just something.

went and jigged off my boat at the harbor today. typically you only catch two types of fish in the harbors here.. sculpin AKA double uglies, and some sort of flounder. caught a couple flounder and one of the larger sculpin ive seen, and it had been eating shrimp.

its the very first thing in my post.. harbor jigging is what i do when im bored and we have nothing else to do on nice days. i dont go out on the boat very often, but the difference between harbor jigging and fishing on my boat in the ocean is like the difference between watching a snowboard edit of jibbers riding in socal VS going heliboarding around here. both are fun, but it just doesnt compare. its really chill though.. its more like hanging out and we happen to have fishing poles.. play some tunes on the boats stereo and relax.

Not a big fisherman, but I did get to go out on Lake Michigan a couple weeks ago and caught a 12lbs salmon. It was a pretty cool experience and it tasted great.

I owned a slick bass boat rig before my wife and I had kids. I'd fish and steer the trolling motor from the front deck. She'd work on her tan from the rear deck. The boat was fun, but it was also a headache riddled money pit. I sold it when we had our first son. With my kids growing, I've slowly been getting back into fishing and introducing them into it along the way.
![]() ![]() I'm back into boats now, but paddle powered only. I pimped my ride.

weather needs to chill out over here in the east coast so the rockfish can come back to play.
i've always wanted to go to alaska too. what better combination could you get? fishing and snowboarding.. makes me cringe thinking about how happy i'd be. |

Sweet pics guys! I've always wanted to go salmon fishing. I'm not a big fish eating person, but salmon is so good! I usually went fishing for rainbow, brown, brook trout and bass when I lived back in Vermont, but I haven't had a chance to go fishing out here in California since I've been here. Spenser, you're so lucky to have a boat like that and be able to go out fishing in AK. I'm super jealous man.
