    Posted: May/23/2009 at 6:03pm
I was wondering if someone could explain some rockers to me.

What exactly is the rocker part of the board? I've read terms like V rocker and S rocker, but I don't really know what it all means. From what I've researched, it seems that the rocker is the part of your board that lays flat, between your bindings, it also seems that only reverse camber boards have this. Can somebody clarify this for me?

@ Jonl89 -- Be nice.  Smile   He still had to read through quite a bit even if he did a search on "rocker"

@ GeckosGoMoo  --  I don't know how exhaustive your search has been, but I found the videos on V-rocker, S-rocker and Zero camber on the Burton website very useful.

rocker and reverse camber is all the same thing.  it just means its shaped the opposite of camber, however it may specifically be.

the kind youre talking about where its flat in the middle is just one kind of rocker/reverse camber.

Oh my x.x Thanks for the link anigel21, but, I'm not sure if I'm reading it all correctly. Is the V rocker basically just one continuous rocker from tip to tail? While the Party Rocker has Tip, Rocker, Camber, Rocker (center of board here), Camber, Rocker, Tail?

Also, what's the difference between Burton's V-Rocker and Lib-tech's reverse camber system?

*Sigh* I wish shops didn't put away the snowboard gear already so I could just go and maybe find some different cambered boards and actually physically see the difference.

Also, sorry about not thoroughly searching first. Honestly, I did search, but I gave up too early I think.

v rocker is a rocker point in the middle and then two more toward the tips, one on each end.  the middle point is the most noticeable.. and the other two are almost impossible to see.

v rocker and libs "banana" are similar.  both have the rocker point in the middle and thats the main thing.

party rocker, i think, is mostly flat, with rocker starting out toward the tips.

Alright, and one last question: Are there any 2009 models in size 148 that have V-rockers rockers? So far all I've found is the horrorscope.

Thanks for all the help guys, I actually get it now =D

v-rocker is burtons term for their design, its not the general term for rocker or reverse camber.

anyway, the smallest 09 mens v-rocker is the hero 52, but yeah, there are other brands with smaller rockers.  horrorscope 48 being one.  i cant say i know of any others off the top of my head though.

next year there will be a lot more.
