I heard people were doing a week of nothing but water to flush their system, which I can see you can easily drop at least 5-10 lbs.

Had some free time after class decided to hit the school gym. Worked out my legs and shoulder. Used to take a day or two before I felt sore but I'm feeling the pain already.

Try some post workout recovery supplement. If you never tried some before, you'll love it.  I had some Muscle Pharm Recon which was great. Don't feel as sore post work out when I took that. Their  pre workout Assualt is pretty damn good, too. I need to re-up on some more Recon though, ran out of it recently. Currently just drinking my weight gainer shake post workout and then some Casein before I go to bed.

I used to take protein shakes but never tried post workouts stuff. I just don't want to rely too much on that stuff. Rather do it naturally but I don't mind trying it to see how much of a difference it makes.

I jumped back into Insanity which was an obvious mistake since I ended up being totally sore for a couple of days.  LOL

Today i took the plastic step builder at the gym and made it tall enough for the equivalent of a box/rail. I tried practicing upper and lower body separation for boardslides and lipslides. I got some funny looks from folks but my core really felt sore after about ten min of repetitions. Itd be better if i could practice with my board but id probably get kicked out for that. Since i dont have rail in my back yard i figured this was the next best thing.

I love box jumps. Been doing alt of those at the gym to build that endurance up for the great season ahead of us. Can't get fatigue on the mountain.

I was just like you man, didn't want to have to put supplements in my body and rely on it, but it really has made a big difference for me then before taking them. Seriously though, if you want to try a good post work out , get MP Recon.  The main thing in it is branched chained amino acids. And that's usually what you want to take post workout since it's quickly absorbed and really helps muscle growth and recovery. Then like 30 mins later if you want you can take your whey drink or eat a high protein meal.

I think I'm going to pick up some Recon and a lean mass gainer this week. Still haven't re upped. Almost running out of my pre workout, but will probably hold off until that fully runs out.

^maybe I'll try some of that MP Recon. I want to order some whey protein again as I've lost a lot of mass. I'm tired of being sore after workouts.

Yeah, I'm down to a weeks worth of protein left and it's a brand I don't like or ever will be buying again. Body Fortress suck. Most likely gettnig some MuslePharm Combat or Optimum Nutrition.  Those you can never go wrong with and they actually taste good unlike that Body Fotress I have. My buddy works at VitaminWorld so i'm going to get a nice discount on a lean mass gainer that's made by his company, super discount!  Probably end up buying my other stuff from bodybuilding since they always have good deals.

That's a pretty good idea to practice with, I've never tried those box jumps yet so maybe I will pick some up to try which would also maybe help me on judging height distance.

Played football on Saturday, 8 on 8 and I can barely move a muscle from the neck done because of the level of soreness. Luckily it was flag football but the guys were huge and tackled you as a means to get your flag sometimes.

My workout routine consists of a lot of ping pong at work and doing push ups and sit ups 2-3 times a week. My pushup routine consists of a set of regular pushups, a set of pushups with my hands tucked in and closer to the waist to put emphasis on the triceps and shoulders, a set with one hand placed a little higher over my head, another set with the opposite hand, a set with one hand elevated 5 inches off the ground, a set with the opposite hand, and finally a set with my hands placed wide. The results are decent so far and it's the longest I've stuck with any consistent workout plan because it's only about 15-20 mins and I can do it anywhere.

That's a good work out plan especially without the use of extra equipment and stuff.  You can probably add in the spiderman push up in your routine as well.

I miss the days of indoor soccer. I'm certain now that if I were to join a league that I would try and make one run down the field like I use to 10 years ago and hemorrhage a lung.

That's not a bad idea. Perhaps I will. I'm also thinking about breaking out a backpack and throwing some canned goods into it to add some extra weight to the workout.

Chula, if you live in CV, CA head out to some of the local hiking spots with a heavy pack. Did that before my Grand Canyon hike. Some decent ones with good elevation gain (3k) you can do in half a day.

It seems like every time I try to work out, I do something to my hamstrings. Cry

Last night's p90x core synergistics was going great... till i felt a tug in one.  Iced the heck out of it and stretched out well.  went for a long walk this morning with the dog, and it helped a bunch, but it definitely stopped the workout.  I just don't know why my hammys are that bad!

Weight vest is good but I wouldn't do canned goods, try something that wouldn't hurt as much like bags of powder or grains of rice.

JDiggidy, did you warm up and stretch beforehand?  I think maybe you need to take baby steps before upping your game?

Maybe try some dynamic stretching next time or tone it down.

The Holidays are over and its about time to lose all the loving that I've gained over that period of time. I went out to play tennis for two days in a row. I kept losing my breathe after really intense rallies. The next day my glutes and legs were pretty sore. I'm going on a job later tonight to get my legs back up to speed.

I love to hike. Unfortunately I live in Minnesota and have a couple things working against me. Ok hiking spots for me are 3 hours north and it's polar vortexing outside. Hiking in the mountains is such a great time though. I'm hoping to get out to Colorado again next year with my brother to do some more hiking at Rocky Mountain National.

I tried out the backpack with a couple 5 lbs dumbells in it and a towel to keep them stabalized. It worked well enough. I'll use sand when spring decides to roll around.

When did you break your ankle?  I feel like you need a little more time to heal before tackling on Tough Mudder.

Now that the weather has warmed up a bit I've been running outside and feels great since I don't feel like a hamster at the gym anymore. I just wear some yaktrax that hook up to my shoes for grip on the ice.

With no winter, I haven't been working out but then again I've been too busy with work and starting up some new businesses.  I still want to buy a bosu ball so I can work on my balance and other things but too bad they're so expensive.

Workout with a buddy. I find that helps the most if you're slacking.

Workout with a buddy. I find that helps the most if you're slacking.

Remember, no pecks no sex! lol

That's a good slogan.  LOL  Isn't that the slogan from that one Canadian youtuber?

That's right, Chengman! It was so cheesy I had to say it. Apparently related to him. Our parents are cousins or something like that. Never met him though.

Gonna try out for my schools varsity volleyball team tonight. Hope I make it out alive.

Haha, small world!

Good luck on your try out!  The last time I played volleyball was back in school for PE.  I could serve the ball but I can never relay the ball.  LOL

I used musclepharm assault grape flavour. It gave me a good rush without the skin tingly sensation so I liked that. But with all pre's I built a tolerance for it fairly quickly.

Getting into yoga to stretch my body out. I sit at a computer at work and I need to loosen up a bit.

You can always use bread from Subway as your yoga mat since it contains azodicarbonamide (ADA), which is a material used in yoga mats.  Subway isn't the only offender - Jimmy Dean, Kroger, Little Debbie, Pillsbury, White Castle and Wonder Bread are among the 130 brands that use it.  ADA is used to bleach flour and help make dough stronger and more rubbery.
