So who uses yahoo email? And are you getting a zillion spam messages lately that you're approved for a loan, need to verify a loan application, etc., all financial-type spam emails. It's driving me crazy!!!! I've always known that yahoo is one of the worst out there, but I've had the email address for so long as my primary address that changing is daunting.  Not to mention there's no chance of my getting a username on another email that remotely resembles my very common name. But I'm about ready to kill my yahoo account now - any suggestions on a good one to use? gmail? hotmail?

I use Yahoo, and I don't have any problems.

You probably used your email on a site that sold the address to a spammer.

I use yahoo and I have noticed it goes through phases.  Right now is one of the phases where I get a lot of spam that the filter doesn't catch.  It will be better in a month or so.  I just mark all the annoying emails as spam and they eventually go straight to the spam folder.

I know hotmail is lame, but i like my emal address there so i keep it. but it kinda does a good job witht he spam.  if you mark it as spam, it blocks that email address permenitly so you dont even get anything in the junk email.   Every time i sign up for something i get a new wave of spam emals, but after a week or two, they go away.

I left yahoo about a week after I signed up for my account.  I only use it if I sign up for something free, like a mag subscription or free samples of whatever.  Otherwise it's my spam/junk account.  Yahoo never seems to filter or monitor spam, no matter what/how much I report.  Gmail, on the otherhand, is wonderful. I've had less than 10 single spam occurences in 6 years with my Gmail acount.  Overall, I'd say it's extremely efficient and much less cluttered than Yahoo.     Just my .02

I use gmail primarily and I love it.    Hotmail is what I use for spam.

I have heard good things about gmail.  But Bruizza, yeah, I notice it goes up and down too, although to me it seems the more I mark as spam the more spam I get!  I try to block addresses but that's usually not real effective with spammers.  I never set up a "spam" email, and it's probably way too late for that.  *sigh*  Oh well, life could be worse I suppose.

Is anyone else counting down the days until the winter season starts?  I've got 143 until the lifts open!

I was gonna say that if I stop viewing porn it won't go up and down anymore, it'll just stay down. But I'm a girl, so that really doesn't work.

True, Next time set up another email for that purpose and don't give your personal/business/school email to porn sites.
