Topic: which is better, forum or burton Posted: Aug/09/2010 at 3:37pm |

Of the two, I personally prefer Burton gear, but can't say that means Burton is actually 'better'.

this is only my personal opinion. i felt that Burton made a better mountain board over Forum. I would prefer to use a Forum board in the park and a Burton board everywhere else

because destroyers, schemes, and seekers suck, and the hero, fix, and hate are garbage.
furthermore, forum has no mountain riders like john jackson or jake blauvelt (okay, so hes off the team now), and burton has no park/rail riders like keegan or JJ.

you are certainly entitled to your own opinion, and its all about preference, but the reason it makes no sense is because they both make at least a couple great boards for each type of riding.
so if given two boards.. a forum seeker and burton hate.. you would rather use the seeker for park and hate for everything else? going by what you just said, thats what you would do. just sayin :)

I disagree...oranges are better to eat at the park and apples for beach. You don't want to peeling an orange with sandy fingers

I can't afford pre cut oranges...I'm poor...so which orange will satisfy my hunger in the park without breaking the bank and that will come cut without me having to pay for it?

If you wait until out of season and know where to look, you can pick some of last years oranges for 30%-50% off.

Sounds like you need some Florida grown oranges. Only way to go.
(haha Rook, this is much harder to find competing companies than floss was... maybe if we were talking about orange juice)

As much as I'd like to go against the most dominant player in the market, I have to give the edge to Burton. Burton is a bit more innovative probably mostly due to extra R&D cash. Forum does however make great, durable boards. Go with either

I was wondering where all the oranges on the front page where coming from. Someone really needs to fix the quote function on here.

So what exactly do you find wrong with the quote function? The fact that it quotes the picture seems like its working properly. If you dont want to quote the picture then delete it. It is kinda annoying that the repeated picture keeps showing up on the main page though.

Burton & Forum both makes nice decks.
Forum deck is more specific to park deck though IMO.
If you are all mountain rider then burton would be a better choice.
Only negative thing about burton is binding..
you wont get much choice of binding if you purchase EST Deck...
such as Burton Custom / Ect.
Best thing is try demo and see what you like then it'll be alot easier to decide.

Burton owns Forum, so Burton > Forum.
In terms of snowboards though the answer is closer to you're a moron. I know that doesn't make sense, but it's true.

no, because gnu and lib tech are made in the same place by the same people. they are essentially the same brand under two names, and came from the same place.
burton and forum started separately. not too long ago, burton bought forum. forum sales go to burton and forum employees are ultimately paid by burton. however, burton boards are made in their factories and forum boards are made in different factories. they are not the same.
