What do you absolutely need to have before you ride?  No, aside from the gear and passes/tickets, what must you carry with you at all times to be ready for the day?

Mine...
-a tool kit
-chapstick
-tissue
-IDs (license, medical card)

Water. Lots and lots of water. Unfortunately for me and my small bladder, that also means finding somewhere to pee a lot.

all i really need is my normal gear, but i always carry my phone, camera, fisheye, keys, ipod, headphones, and a granola bar or two.. all in my jacket.  the only thing that prevents me from staying outside all day is having to drink water.. i have a small hydro pack but i dont like wearing it when im riding a resort.

Snacks, ipizzle, chapstick, hydration pack if I know I won't be wanting to head into the lodge (I get dehydrated pretty fast so I have to be careful).

I will usually lock my lock in front of whatever lodge I'll be hanging out in.

Chapsticks, always... I have like 2 in my pants, and 2 more in each of my coats.. hahahaha.  And more in my car and around my house Tongue

-sunscreen
-medical bracelet - it basically says I'm deaf and have a cochlear implant, I can't get a specific x-ray because of it and has my dad's phone number in case of emergency (i dunno if that'll really help since he's 900 miles away... haha)
-energy bars - clif is the most popular one for me, yummy
-extra lift ticket that resorts always give me for a "guide"... sometimes I clean out my pockets and I find like 10 lift tickets that's never been used... d'oh!
-switchblade
-watch since I don't bring my cell phone when I ride.  gotta know the time somehow!

But in the car in the Cherry bag, always have zip ties, sunscreen, 3 extra goggles, extra gloves, hoddie, fruit snacks, 2 screwdrivers. pretty much all my beanies.
