I think Time Warner is about to be bought too, by Charter. & AT&T is buying DirectTV. Everything is going to merge down to two companies eventually.

Back from the company lunch. They had a Hawaiian theme (funny because we're a California state agency) with polynesian singer/dancers and shaved ice. Me and my boss left before the best hawaiian shirt contest and the hula hoop contest...

^ Must be nice to be appreciated.

Took today off to attend a funeral.  Six priests worked the funeral mass, the deceased was the church's music director.  Never saw 6 priests at a funeral.

I used to have ATT U-Verse for both Cable and Internet. Now, I've cut cable and only have their internet service. It's pretty reliable for the most part. I've had to change a couple of set-top boxes and was didn't have service when it's being shipped, but they gave me credit for those days. Tech support is usually pretty helpful and friendly. The only thing is that my house is kind of far from their hub so I don't have the best connection/bandwidth. So my HD channels were a bit limited. I think the max is 4 HD shows at the same time, but I could only get 2. If you have a box closer to you, you shouldn't have any problems.

Wow, if they aren't even answering their direct customer service inquiries, I don't think anyone should feel safe making a purchase from them anymore. Not that it's easy to do with so many glitches on the site anyway.

Umm..no, they didn't run out of boards. Allie left, her replacement was supposed to resume the giveaways once he/she gets trained. But nothing has happened since then. No staff logging on. So, no info from them in chat or forums. Looks like TS has been abandoned...

I think it's just because it's summer time and snowsports is not in people's minds. Plus the lack of giveaways now, people just don't have much of a reason to come. Once the weather starts getting colder, people will start trickling back.

In all seriousness I would hate to see this site go.  They have great deals and one of the more active online snowboard communities.  I once told myself I would never make an account at Thrive.  Looks like I may be eating my words.

Why would you not want to make an account at Thrive?  Great people over there :)

I wouldn't say the site is dying by any means. Forums are slow, but even in the busy days summer is always slow on snowboard forums. Just wait till October everything picks back up. Thrive will have their coaching stuff up, the forums are kind of played out in my opinion. More about different forms of social media these days. If you look at it, only about 10 people contribute to most forums anyway. TruSnow just seemed to be giving up on everything when Allie and George left. Hopefully that changes soon too. Good group of people here. Thrive has Doug and he will always respond to questions as needed. So at least they have that going.

We've all just gotten older too. What do you all think Thrive should do to pick up the forums? I'd happily relay the message to Doug if they are valid.

For now, wakeboarding season...
