It's not you; they have been. I wish they wouldn't though, because I end up trying to find the new posts anyway.

So $300 almost for my car being towed yesterday, and I got an email today that the people are looking at other candidates. =0( Maybe the other candidates will find something better, and I'll get it by default. =0( Pretty much have no leads and really need to start looking at restaurants or something now that I have basically no new leads and am going broke.

This sucks.

So yesterday I got offered this sales position that I really don't want to take. It's a draw salary so I either get $400/wk or the commission amount--whichever is more--and I'd get paid weekly. I have a second interview today, but the first was for a Promoter position for spa/salon service. For every $60 service package sold, I'd keep $25 to start. The guy said yesterday the lowest number sold by someone was 7--$175. 

Neither position is ideal, but I need to start making money...I'm supposed to start the sales/telemarketing position Monday. =0/   All my mentors at the program I'm in keep saying I should hold out for something I want as long as I can, because something good will come along.

I also think I'm going to apply to some restaurants when I get back into the city today. Ugh. =0/   I don't know if I should just do one of these for the time being, or push off accepting any of them for another week or two.

So for better or for worse, I bought myself a week or two of hoping something else comes through. Yesterday, I did get a call from one of my two Officers from this career preparation program that I've been going to. (Technically, I may be a bit overqualified for it, but my resume and cover letter--and confidence and networking--have improved a ton.) The officer is a recruiter who works for a company everyone's heard about (trying not to jinx myself). Hoping to hear back from someone at her company next week or so about available temp (possibly to permanent) positions...

^^ It's really cold in my room. I have a space in the wall for an air conditioner to go, but no A/C unit filling it. I'm pretty sure that's where the cold air is coming from...need to see about filling it with something.
